Pleasant
Property is pleasantly decorated. Fortunately the bedrooms are lovely spaces as the communal spaces- although pretty in photos - do not have the same feel as there is a distinct lack of comfortable chairs or sofas to read or chat or watch a show. More water glasses, coffee mugs and a bread knife would be worthwhile additions. Not as private as you would hope for a house & driveway gate would not close so felt quite exposed in a pretty busy location- meant we didn’t want to leave the front door open at all as there was no security screen. A presentable property, under the flight path. We have booked many holiday properties over the years and don’t mind spending more for beautiful accommodation. This feels overpriced - even for school holidays.

Magnigicent property
We were very impressed with the property, it was very beautiful and Sharon went to a lot of effort to have the place looking beautiful for us with not much notice. Our only dissapointments were that we were expecting 5 bedrooms and there were only 4, we also expected full access to the yogo studio but were only allowed access via booking in a time in advance. Also we paid for fire wood but were supplied very little for the price we paid for it and how cheap we bought it for at the service station down the road. Had the information been clearer on the property advertisment on stayz and we got what was expected we would have no complaints because despite things not being quite as expected we still loved our stay and we would definitely return.

Why they chose this property

Currumbin beach, experience it for yourself, it's absolute magic! Our favourite times are early morning and late afternoon on sunset.
The Friday night Sanctuary Market right across the road are a must visit with local food and live music. You can even enjoy the good vibes with a drink in hand on sunset from the balcony.
The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a family favourite for an up close to Australian native animals and an ethos for conservation. They've recently updated the kids play ground to include a water park to cool down the cherubs in warmer months.
For your morning coffee hit (If you need a bit extra on top of the Nespresso machine) take a stroll to Kin (opposite the surf living saving club) , the Salt Mill or Barefoot Barista, all amazing beachside coffee shops.
Currumbin Vikings Surf Club is a casual stroll along the stunning Currumbin beach and will be sure to bring joy with cheap and cheerful food and vibes with some of the best views across the sea to the Northern end of the Gold Coast.
Take the whole family for a swim and surf at iconic 'The Alley' beach just north of Avalon Abode. For first time surfers try a lesson with Currumbin Alley Surf School.
For all of your last minute needs cross the road and visit 'Village' convenience store, the range and prices are great!
Every Thursday Currumbin Community Markets brings you fresh local produce and artisan goodies.
For an array of delicious food venues right over the hill South of the Abode is suburb Tugun. Our favourite is Sticky Rice for delicious Thai eats, yum!
