Family and pet friendly beachfront accommodation, lovely summer breaks

We live in Fremantle Western Australia and have three children, two adult girls and one 15 year old son. We also have 2 very cute dogs a Cavoodle and a King Charles Cavalier. We love summer and as a family one of our favourite things to do is go to the beach with our boogie boards and surf boards to catch some waves. We love the out doors walking or cycling along the river or beach and going to cafe's for coffee and a bite to eat and love catching up with friends and family as often as we can. Traveling is another thing high on our list of likes as well as relaxing after a day at the beach with a glass of wine and beer.

Another highlight of summer is an evening stroll along the river with our kids and dogs.

Our home in Halls Head, is in the heart of the Peel region and close to many of Mandurah’s attractions.

Blue Bay Beach Stay is BEACH FRONT accommodation perfectly located between Blue Bay and Doddi's Beach in old Halls Head, situated on the southern peninsula on the ocean side of Mandurah's river entrance.

On the right and within walking distance is "Tods Cafe" (a refurbished Dome) perfect for your morning coffee, it's a beautiful walk along the beach. Blue Bay Fish and Chips on Valley Road is around the corner. Across the road is the entrance to the dog beach, which extends to the right all the way down to Doddi’s Beach. Doddi’s Beach is a sheltered beach and is perfect for young kids. In summer there is a pontoon for the kids to swim out to. There is a grass area with BBQ’s and a children’s playground. For the older kids you will find a skate park just over the bridge as you come into Halls Head and there is inflatable water slides in the summer.

To the left of the house is Blue Bay Beach, great for swimming, boogie boarding and body surfing. In winter the reef is exposed and you can enjoy the small blow holes and beach combing. When surfs up there’s a surf break directly across the road. Bringing a boat, Mary Street Board Ramp is just around the corner with easy access to the Estuary and Ocean.

With the beach at your doorstep offering fantastic bays for swimming, fishing, snorkeling, boating, surfing, boogie boarding, BBQ's, walking and watching the beautiful sunsets or you could just sit on the balcony and enjoy the views with a bevy of your choice.

Mandurah and the Peel Region have a lot to offer with ample things to do including vineyards, wineries, golf, hiking, bike trails, crabbing, canoe, paddle boarding, kayaking along the expansive, rivers, estuaries, and canals. Indoor rock climbing, skydiving, scenic flights. Climb, swing and hang around high-up in the treetops on an obstacle course at Trees Adventure, Lane Poole Reserve.

For all your shopping needs, Halls Head Central Shopping Centre is a 5-minute drive. This has Coles, Aldi, Kmart along with a variety of specialty shops. IGA is located near the roundabout as you come into Halls Head just over the bridge. This has a Chemist, Bottle Shop, Chinese Restaurant and a small pub. If you fancy a game of golf the Mandurah Golf Course if just a 5 minute drive away.

Cafes, restaurants, parks, playgrounds and the Mandurah foreshore are within walking and cycling distance. Beautiful absolute beach front views from downstairs and upstairs. Just a few meters from the beach with easy access. Watch the sunset and waves from the balcony or from the main bedrooms. Great for a relaxing holidays with family and friends!
