Great accommodations for a large group!
We had a fantastic time staying here and hosting a couple of dinner parties during a football weekend. The accommodations were spacious and the setting was wonderful. Thank you for making your house available!

Very functional space for a large group
The house had a wonderful set up and lots of room for a large group. It has plenty of beds for everyone and the living spaces were large so that you did not feel crowded even with a large amount of people. Also the amenities (ie. use of a washer and dryer) were great.

Wonderful Property
Eight of us came to the South Bend area to spend time with various people at Notre Dame and to see a football game. The accommodation was exactly as advertised and served our needs perfectly. Cindy was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend this property.

Great home base for a Notre Dame football weekend!
This home was perfect for a gathering of old friends looking to celebrate many years of friendship with a side of football thrown in. The house was clean and spacious, excellent bedding for everyone and was quite convenient to South Bend and the University. Our only "complaint" was that the weather could have been nicer, but the sunrise view over the lake on Sunday morning more than made up for that. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it for others.

Great Notre Dame Weekend
The only thing that could have made our stay better would have been an Irish victory. Cindy was a great host and addressed the one minor issue we raised within an hour of being notified. The house was perefect for 8 guys getting together for a football weekend. The house was only 25 minutes from campus and FAR more reasonably priced compared with homes and hotels closer to campus.

Very suitable for our purposes. Plenty of space and lovely views. Summertime would be very nice.
Prepared a full Thanksgivng dinner for 11 people and with the use of the grill and oven, it was great. There was plenty of room and the large dining table was ideal for not only meals but for playing group games. The ping pong table was another huge hit. The # of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for our group, including a main floor bedroom and ensuite bathroom for an elderly parent. The views were very nice and we can imagine summertime being especially nice. Proximity to South Bend airport, stores, etc was also very good. It was not a problem for us but one should note there is no dish washer. Faucets in bathrooms were a little difficult to turn on and off, and the water pressure varied. The steps up to the side door should be replaced as they are loose and slanting downwards making it easy to slip especially when they are wet or icy. Overall, the owner was very welcoming and very easy to reach for all of our questions, and had left us a plate of delicious cookies. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect for a ND football weekend with family!
This property was perfect for our big family! Plenty of beds for everyone. Very clean. Set on a beautiful lake. Very picturesque. We absolutely loved it and hopefully will be able to return year after year! Only about 20-25 min to ND campus. It was a very easy drive.

ND Weekend
We really enjoyed our stay in the lake house. The location worked well for us as we were traveling away from the game day traffic. The lake view is lovely even in Nov.

20-25 minute ride to Notre Dame.
Enjoyed waking up seeing the fog lift of the lake and a lone swan swimming in the lake, just off the shore. Great place for a group of ten

I'm the eldest of a family of 7. 14 years ago, we all got together and decided to purchase a lake home to make memories, and to help our parents dream of having a place to go in retirement on a lake. It is very unique that although this property is owned by many people, we have all continued to get along, and love each other:)
For the past 13 years, I've owned a Bed and Breakfast in South Bend , and just passed the baton(so to speak) to new owners this Fall 2016. So needless to say, I do have a little experience in the hospitality business:)
I also am a R.N. at Memorial hospital in South Bend, and look forward to having one job for the time being. For fun, I like spending time with family friends, and my best friend Ric. We love going to movies, fishing, and following the "Edwardsburg Eddies" HS football team. I simply adore my little dog "Kerry", named after one of my favorite counties in Ireland.
I also enjoy reading, gardening, and walking little Kerry.
Making sure that the guests at our lake home have a great time is of utmost importance to me

Why they chose this property

This home is owned by my family, and alot of great memories are made here. It was purchased and furnished with entertaining, and accommodating large groups in mind. The large farm table easily seats 10, and kitchen counter seats 4 more. The kitchen looks out onto the lake, along with the very spacious walk out basement. Basement has pool/pingpong table, big screen TV with cable, and bar area.

What makes this property unique

Sometimes referred to by friends and family as "The house of beds", there are plenty of places for all to get a very good night's sleep. The bedrooms are not cluttered with additional furniture besides beds, and bedding is cozy, and mattresses were selected with comfort in mind.
PERFECT FOR NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL GAMES AND GRADUATION!!!
