Jackie was so communicative, the location is lovely, clean place, great amenities, decor is perfect for a small lake cottage. We swam and canoed all week and really enjoyed the small town as well.
We completely enjoyed our stay on Rangeley Lake. The house is very attractive and may be the nicest we’ve stayed at in all our travels. It was clean, cozy and well furnished. The views of the lake from the house and backyard are great. The house had everything we needed, including two kayaks for exploring the cove and surrounding area. The host was very responsive and accommodating.
I love love love this cabin/ home. There are too many details to count. From the retro toaster and microwave to the kindling and firewood perfectly set up to start a nice cozy fire by the lake. Lake is BEAUTIFUL. Owner answered any questions I had. Beds are super comfortable w plenty of pillows. Everything u think you need plus everything you didn’t think of … like a bocce bag and bug spray and cars and books to read. Thank you so much . - Amy
The Cottage at Bonney Point was immaculate when we entered. The cabin has been updated but still maintains a rustic character with knotty pine walls and wood floors. The new beds and linens made for deep slumber, and the many outdoor spaces gave us plenty of room to spread out. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful trip. The cottage was about 25 feet from the lake, very peaceful and we enjoyed kayaking on the lake, listening to the Loons and walking the nearby trails. The cottage was well equipped and the owner was very responsive to questions.
We had a wonderful week at the Cottage at Bonney Point. The cottage was easy to find. Great location in a quiet cove, but quick to get to Rangeley and Oquossoc villages. Cottage was very clean and we all remarked when we walked in that it smelled amazing inside! No musty, “campy” smell. Kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. We spent hours hanging out on the dock, swimming, (our two boys must have jumped off the dock about 1,000 times), resting in the hammocks, and enjoying the provided kayaks and paddleboard. View is amazing and we fell asleep to the sound of the resident loons every night. So peaceful. We had a few quick questions while there and the owners were very responsive. We recommend this vacation rental wholeheartedly and can’t wait to return. While in the area, we enjoyed hiking Bald Mountain, cliff jumping at Smalls Falls, fly fishing with Pond in the River guide service, dinner at the Portage Tap House in Oquossoc and Parkside and Main in Rangeley.
We found the cottage at Bonney Point to be well appointed, clean, and adorable! Everything we needed during our stay was there, the location was perfect, we would highly recommend (& have done so to friends already in fact)!
Very clean nice cottage, close to town with great restaurants. Excellent get a way and comfortable accommodations. Lots of places to hike fish and kayak.
Our stay at Bonney Cove was just the 'get away' my family needed to relax and regroup.
The Degan's beautiful, neat-as-a-pin cabin was completely stocked with all necessary supplies for a family to enjoy time together in an excellent location.
We took advantage of the Degan's suggestions for local points of interest and set off on some hiking adventures.
The hosts for this cabin have gone out of their way to welcome their guests and give them every comfort of home. It was a delightful week and one we will repeat in the future!!
Thank you

About the host

We fell in love with Rangeley on our first visit and picked this camp as our wish. When it came up for sale a year later we bought it within a day. We gutted and redid the entire camp from floors to roofs in 2001 and spent every summer vacationing with our children. We just added a porch with a double bed in 2021. We are now empty nesters and have time to share the cabin with others. If you love the Maine Lakes, you will enjoy this spot for your vacation !!
Why they chose this property
Private waterfront on a quiet cove.
What makes this property unique
The call of the Loons !! We have a resident loon family in the cove with new additions every summer. Being in the cove offers calmer waters than most locations on the lake. 2 single Kayaks and Paddle board included.
