Please Note: While this unit is capable of up to 6 guests, it is an efficiency unit that technically allows up to 4 adults (two in Master Bedroom - two using fold out sofa) and 2 children (bunk beds) ... however, typically this unit is better suited for a couple, or a couple with small children, or potentially up to 3 adults, especially if a longer stay (4+ days) is desired (closet space is minimal). Anything beyond this is likely to not meet Renter expectations..
This particular unit is quiet and centrally located within the Casa Del Mar property. A private balcony with a beach view. Walk across the Seawall to newly rebuilt beaches and fishing pier. Restaurants, shops, and stores within walking distance. Numerous other Galveston attractions (too many to list here) just minutes away via vehicle, local transportation, or bike. Two pools to choose from, one of which is two floors down from elevator or stair access (elevator and stairs are just 20 feet away from suite front entry, through two end hallway noise reducing double doors).
A queen size bed in the bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Comfortable 8" thick custom mattress bunk beds mostly suitable for children (25" x 72"). A studio kitchen fully populated with utensils and amenities. A microwave, refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Upgraded bath. A flat screen cable TV in the living area, another in the bedroom. Both televisions also have WIFI features. An entertainment center that includes a Blu-ray and even a VCR player (for old school enthusiasts!).
Plus, it's the little things ... paper towels, toiletries, beach towels, board games, video library, usb charge stations, iron board, hair dryer, extra blankets, more. It's the things you don't see. Like a new coastal rated AC, a new tank less on demand water heater, a high platform bed frame in the bedroom to store luggage, ... the kind of things that only an owner can appreciate if they stay themselves ... more.
For your convenience, the Casa Del Mar facility provides covered parking (required upon arrival, a $40 parking fee for up to 2 vehicles, Cash not accepted), interior entrances, BBQ area, picnic area tables, guest laundromat, ice makers, vending machines, internet, security, elevators, non smoking property, courtyard, 2 pools (1 heated in Texas winter months).
This condo suite is owner operated. Perfectly suited for a romantic get away, a weekend event, or a small family vacation. For a longer term winter monthly rental, contact owner for additional details and savings. For one, stays of 30 days or more do not require hotel tax.
Please note pets are not allowed within the Casa Del Mar community. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms.
**MOST IMPORTANT NOTE** Our sincere apologies but past experience requires us to declare. For your identity protection and our unit assets, upon arrival, you must provide a valid picture ID that matches the phone number and credit card information used to reserve this condo. Failure to match these credentials will prevent entry and without a refund.
**NEW PARKING FEES 2023** Casa Del Mar properties recently added a new fee. Upon arrival, renters must pay a $40 parking fee good for the entire Stay. A parking sticker for your vehicle ensures guest registration and prevents a tow. This was necessary to prevent random visitor's to Galveston beaches from parking in unauthorized spaces. This fee will not show in your VRBO or Home Away booking.
