Lovely Farm Cottage
The cottage is deceptively spacious with two bedrooms, a large bathroom and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and happy to have a chat

Wonderful
This oasis is ideal for children wanting to be around animals. The dogs and horses are very friendly. Ideal spot to relax but plenty of places to visit. Our children are already planning their next stay.

A True Country Gem with Exceptional Hosts
This property is a perfect escape for anyone seeking an authentic country experience. Set on a lovely family farm, the home exudes warmth and charm, surrounded by peaceful rural scenery. The kids loved spending time with the friendly horses and playing with the adorable pet dogs, which added so much joy to our stay. The house itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The farm’s atmosphere, with its wide-open spaces and beautiful views, made it feel like a true retreat from everyday life. What truly set this place apart were the incredible hosts. They were so generous and helpful, always ready with recommendations and ensuring we felt completely at home. Their hospitality made our stay even more special, and we’re so grateful for the care and effort they put into making this property such a standout.Highly recommend this beautiful farmstay for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind and soak in the country lifestyle. We can’t wait to come back!

Woodlands farm cottage
Location: Good, quiet and relaxing. However, cottage was mice infested, and dead rodents did not improve our stay, and also very little communication with host. Could be very much improve with a little more care and details. Thank you. Bernie and Joanne

NOT QUITE AS EXPECTED
This cottage could really do with a deep clean, there was mould in the bathroom sink and the shower, dishes and cutlery were dirty, dead flies on the sills, outside table and chairs covered in poop. It was quite warm when we stayed but we couldn't open the windows in one bedroom as there were no flyscreens and lots of blowflys (which are expected on a farm) and the rear bedroom has a big glass door which in the afternoon acts as a huge magnifying glass and heats up the room a lot. There is a cane blind there but did not stop the heat reflection so that room, which is the only room with a comfortable chair, became like an oven. Couldnt work out how to access ordinary TV, but that is more likely due to us not being very internet savvy. Overall, quite disappointing in light of the rave reviews.

Old workman’s cottage
The accomodation is pretty rugged! Draughty with gaps under the front door and through unplumbed shower drain. No window coverings on the bathrooms large windows was a bit disconcerting! Two oil heaters and the open fireplace with access to dry kindling and firewood certainly helped warm the cottage. The hosts Tim and Pip were helpful and friendly.

Krekwakwou
The title translates from Dutch into "just what I wanted" and that is how we felt when we arrived at Woodlands cottage. We love old, un-renovated, beach shacks and the cottage, although certainly a class above a shack, reminded us of the happy times we spent in those shacks. Great, relaxing place to stay with everything we needed including one of the best showers this side of Bass Strait.

Quaint little cottage with everything one could need.
Thank you so much for opening your farm to us allowing us to share in the beautiful surroundings. We loved staying in the cottage. Meeting Woody and Cindy was an added bonus as was having the horses close to the cottage.Tasmania has been more than we hoped for. Although this was our first time in this stunning part of Australia, it will not be the last time. Wishing you well and thank you again. B&M Balkwill (Tal'ngai Alpacas)

Was a great country getaway from suburban or city life
We had a great 2 night stay at woodlands. While in the area we visited mole creek caves, trowunna sanctuary, honey shop and alum cliffs walk. My children 9 & 11 enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm. The cottage was basic but everything we required. Nice to have no tv - wifi connection was 10/10. Lovely views. Tim was lovely to talk to and shared his stories of the farm. Thankyou for the visit.

Great farm stay!!!
Woodlands is one if the unique accomodation which gives you the feeling of a real farm stay as it is in a farm. It was a overnight stop over in Woodlands and we enjoyed the stay. Go with the expectation of real farm stay not expecting the urban luxuries (except for that unlimited WiFi). You can watch from the bed or from the balcony, beautiful sunset over the mountains and pastures with cows and horses. You will wake up to the nature out in front of you from one of the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. Towels and soap were provided. Its a very big property and one could go for a good walk around. Very friendly hosts. I have given 4 stars only because the kitchen can get a facelift with better microwave and stove. Also more pedestal fans can be provided to circulate some air for a very hot day.

Great spot close to town, open fire and the owners were lovely.
Very welcoming, fabulous views, great base to explore the region, plenty of wood to keep the fire burning and it was freezing overnight. Good facilities, outdoor chairs would have been beneficial. Tim and Pip were warm and friendly. Woody the dog came to visit often and was welcome.Amazing property, wish we had more time just to explore the farm x

Gorgeous cabin in peaceful setting
A beautiful cottage set within a gorgeous piece of Tasmanian countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, not only was the cottage clean and comfortable but the hosts were so welcoming and generously allowed us to explore their beautiful farm which we enjoyed as much as all the sight-seeing we did. We wished we could have stayed longer as it was so peaceful here.
