Glenelg Apartment 500 steps to Beachside

Spacious Apartment. Great location 210 metres from Glenelg beach, 5 minute walk to Broadway cafe on waterfront or Glenelg Jetty. Apartment is in quiet street and it feels like your own home when staying.

Built last century with very high ornate ceilings in the front rooms. Lounge room with open gas fire with marble fire mantel. Smart television with local TV channels plus internet access for more viewing on other platforms. Th connecting north facing sunroom, great place to recline in the chair and read your novel. Has a sofa bed if more guests which to stay.
Main bedroom is setup for a lovely romantic stay with Brass Bed and en-suite bathroom. cedar washstand and old pine washbasin in modern ensuite.

Modern Galley kitchen has just been installed to make it t h e centre of the home with integrated appliances.
Second bedroom is at the other end of the apartment leading off from the dining room.
Main bathroom has been fully renovated to offer a walk in shower cubicle.

Our apartment is Unit 1 on the lower floor in the Stirling Building and it is one of the oldest buildings in Glenelg.
Built in 1880 as 2 townhouses it underwent a facelift around 1940 to be made into 5 apartments and sweeping external staircases where built. The property has an art decor building now.
We have decorated our apartment to combine the heritage and design feature over the life of the building. of course adding the desired modern features of 2023.

Excellent Position, Beautiful Apartment

The apartment was large with plenty of room for the family. The kitchen was well equipped and Judy had a lot of extra things that made it very handy. The location is excellent, close to beach and Jetty Rd. We will be back.

Escape to the beach

Very comfortable and close to the beach, with Jetty road shops about 10 minute walk. Very well equipped. Only thing, was the on-suite room needed air-con, as the window didn’t open, and the fan was noisy.

Gorgeous Grand Apartment

Beautiful apartment with a hybrid of styles Victorian and Deco the bedrooms have a grand olde worlde feel with very high ceilings, beds are very comfortable the lounge room and kitchen are more art deco and very charming, home away from home, very close to beach and main shops in Glenelg. Glenelg...or to put it another way, glenelG...

A roomy (five guests) and comfortable place; high ceilings & stone walls conducive to cool comfort in summer - airconditioning made it even better. Excellent facilities, fitting to the period of the building. Bedding, linen, tissues, tea & coffee in abundance...and games & books to boot. What else could you ask for? Possibly a perfect locality...but no, that was there too!

Peaceful comfort

This property is well stocked with everything you might need. The beds are comfortable, there is lots of space, after 10 days in hotel rooms it was perfect to unwind. The beach is a short walk and the coastline is lovely. Judy is a generous host and very accommodating. Allowed us to check in early which was very kind. We loved the fifties look of the place. We shall be back.

Lovely lodging

This home is quaint with great decor and beautiful light fixtures. Very nice bedding also. It’s close proximity to the beach is great. The shower’s water was too cool for me but fortunately the other shower tub combo worked great. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Great place!

We loved this house. A quiet location & the large floor plan meant adults could watch TV late without waking kids, kids could watch TV early without waking adults. The sunroom was an amazing place to sleep. Loved all the little extras, liquid soap, latex pillows, wifi... Very clean, not a cobweb in sight! Highly recommended! Judy was friendly & helpful & we really appreciated the early check in.
