Affordable family friendly, pet friendly cottage style accommodation. 3 bedrooms, full kitchen facilities. BYO sheets, towels & pillows or linen hire and breakfast provisions available for small extra fee. Free gas BBQ and undercover outdoor living area. All set on a half acre block with lots of shady trees. Nestled in the valley, only 700metres from beautiful safe beach, jetty and convenience store.

Locality

Boathaven Beach House is ideal as a Kangaroo Island stopover only 15 mins drive from the ferry or 20 mins from Deep Creek Conservation Park with its spectacular scenery and bushwalks. A short drive to several stunning golf courses and plenty to see for divers and snorkellers alike. A fabulous destination for an affordable relaxing beach holiday.

Flexibility

Although Second Valley is a lot of fun in summer, it is also a beautiful place to enjoy wintery weather. Tuck yourself up in bed with our feather quilts, electric blankets and a good book, or just enjoy walking the green hills , looking out to sea in nearby Deep Creek Conservation Park

Go op-shopping in Normanville, find a bargain at one of several interesting secondhand or antique stores in Yankalilla. Enjoy some great cafes, breweries, and pubs on the Fleurieu peninsula.

3 day getaway
Very clean and plenty of things for the kids. The only thing is we went on a very hot weekend and the bedrooms were very hot so we had to leave the air conditioner on all night and sleep on the floor on mattresses in the lounge which was ok as it was very comfortable . The main bedroom was ok as it was next to the air conditioning

Clean, spacious house close to the beautiful second valley beach. The bed were super comfy. The rear enclosed fence was useful to secure the dogs. A lovely deck overlooking beautiful trees, was great for relaxing. Thank you for having us. My husband and I and our 2 dogs had a great time. I would highly recommend it.

A wonderful laid back holiday
Everything you could want for a holiday with a homely feel meaning the conveniences were all there but not overwhelming or too precious. My twoCavalier King Charles Spaniels loved their stay as well as my friend and I. The people who own the property are very considerate and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. Not too far from the beach, quiet, and the house had everything we needed. The games and books were great, the kids loved exploring the house and garden. Very relaxing and made for a great beach holiday.

Relaxing mini break
Apart from being a lovely area to stay, the Boathaven Beach house is a winner. The hosts have thought of everything to make their guests feel comfortable and very welcome, even a little gift on arrival! It's a beautifully, well presented cottage with plenty of space inside and out. Our fur child enjoyed exploring the lovely garden space. We wish to express our thanks and will definitely be booking to stay again :)

We had such a great weekend here! A lovely quiet location, perfect for our dog - inside and out! Kitchen facilities were really good and beds comfortable. The only terrible thing was that we had to leave so soon! Thanks Lyndell and John, we'll be back.

What a lovely, cosy, welcoming old cottage experience this was. The attention to detail is amazing. Full provisioned for families and adults. Massive array of games, books, movies to watch. This old cottage was sparkling clean. There is a massive lounge with 7 huge windows and glass double doors to watch the incredible birdlife at this property. Armchairs and heaps of sofas inside. Masses of out door seating. Sunshine streaming in on an drab and gloomy day. Welcoming cosy lights on and biscuits to have with coffee. Loved sitting in the lounge reading and doing my embroidery on a dull and damp day. Close walk to the glorious beach and rock climbing. Second Valley is South Australias best kept secret. Great small beach for swimmimg. Fabulous area to kyack, dive and snorkle around. We are definitely coming back here to Boathaven Beach House. Thankyou Lyndell and John.

We loved the shady yard which made the appearance so welcoming, and the deck with the round table- so good for sitting around for shared meals. Inside was comfortable. For adults the single bed room was small. A better barbecue would be excellent. A lovely location for our diving exploits.

Post Baby Getaway
Booked accommodation, then my daughter had a baby, so we extended the offer for her to join us. Large property with plenty of places to sit, reflect or play. Close to the beach, contained back yard for dogs (we had 3, 2 golden and lab) and kids. Easy access, loads of games, no streaming services, which was great!! Very very enjoyable, bought back many childhood memories. Definitely recommend 😊
