Go for a walk along one of the many walk tracks in the Dandenong Ranges & see towering Mountain Ash and Messmate Stringybark trees, wide variety of ferns and other wet and damp forest vegetation. These areas boast the highest density of superb LYREBIRDS living together with wombats, samp wallaby, echidna, possums and powerful owls.

The pure air of its altitude (250 m) is refreshing. The cool winds from the sea in summer and the winter mists and sometimes even snow adds to its health giving properties

At every time of the year there are blossoms in the garden and the birds, parrots, lorikeets and kookaburras, as well as cockatoos. A large variety of ducks/ducklings and water birds, fish and platypus in the lakes

Deer, wallabies and rabbits come close (and eat the roses). Echidnas and Wombats and other wild life frequent the property.

Have a photo taken next to 'LEO' the Lion- 2 metre high BRONZE LION.

Comforting to look at from the outside it is very cosy inside. Large feature entrance floods the living area with light.
A games room is adjacent. Try a game of pool or pinball, other games available.

Take your cup of coffee out to the covered front porch, feed the birds or have a picnic and look at the wildlife, lakes and gardens.


Ideal for bush walking or bmx-lots of tracks in the adjoining state forest located at the rear gate.
Cyclists enjoy the sealed road from The Basin to Olinda. Bush cyclists lots of bush tracks, unsealed roads.
