Baseball Team in Town for Tournament

Our team stayed together at the Castle Hill Haven. It was a very memorable experience and was thanks to Jody and her gracious family. She was very accommodating from letting us check-in a couple hours early, to letting us use her laundry room (in a shared space for both the rental property and her host space) so we can wash our Jerseys for games. The location is not within a good source of cellular signal, but the property does have a pretty strong wifi connection. (almost 15 devices connected at once) The commute from Elizabethtown Spoets Complex to the house was the only frustrating part due to the signal situation. Nothing that Castle Haven is responsible for. I would highly recommend staying with this property mainly because of how great the hosts are during your stay!

Wonderful weekend

Dear Jody and David, We had a fantastic time in your lovely home. Big enough to fit our whole family and beautifully appointed. We loved the peaceful setting — near enough to do what we wanted to do in the area and yet quiet and restful. Thanks again for being such wonderful hosts! The Siddoways

Felt Like Home!

Jody generously attended to details to accommodate a family gathering at this private country retreat. A fun house for a 3 yr. old with toys and wonderful books to read. Enjoyed the chickens, goats, & new kittens. Comfortable eating areas to accommodate everyone. Space to spread out and have some privacy as well. The kitchen was well furnished - nice appliances and plenty of tools to prepare your own meals.

Big Kentucky country house.

Fantastic long weekend in the Kentucky countryside. Easy drive to tour mammoth cave for a day but otherwise enjoyed the house and grounds. Lots and lots to keep the kids busy outside-no screens for 4 days!!!

Amazing!

David and Jody and their family were so welcoming. Their home was beautiful, very clean (my brother-in-law wanted the number of their cleaning service:), and included little touches that made our stay special. My nieces and nephews (and the adults too!) enjoyed the animals, books from the loft library, the piano, play house, and the board games. All 15 of us were able to eat together at the large dining table and appreciated the additional bench seating along the perimeter of the dining room. An unexpected surprise was Jody’s prayer closet upstairs, which was special to us too. We had a wonderful time at the Ingalls’ home. My niece expressed our feelings when she said, “I wish we could come here every year!”

Wonderful!

This is a stunning home! A perfect place for our large family reunion. We had everything we needed (and more) and the host was so easy to reach for any questions. Would definitely visit again!

Great Family Gathering

Our large family of 16 gathering was perfect at this location. House is well kept and very interesting! We loved all the books and surprised by the many children's toys. It was quiet and peaceful. It was fun to see the kittens and feed treats to the mommies who loved to visit us on the front porch! Chickens and two lovely dogs added to the relaxed ambiance. Jody and David were always available if needed to answer questions and help out if needed. The playhouse was a nice option for the kids also. A special time to be with family and loved ones!

Great, relaxing and peaceful!

This was just what we were looking for. Something that we could come back to after the baseball games and relax inside or play more ball in the yard! It was a little bit of heaven on earth, right down to the personal prayer closet upstairs.

Beautiful place to stay and "unplug". (Wifi was available)

We had a great family reunion. Easily accommodated the 15 of us (5 families). Away from the "hustle" of city life but definitely a lot to do near by. Great for history and literature lovers. Hosts were amazing.

A home away from home!

This was a very spacious home for our large group of 15! Everything was clean and in nice order! We had sufficient necessities and even some nice extras! We were comfortable and the children thoroughly enjoyed the playroom upstairs! The Ingalls were very friendly and made us feel welcome! We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others!

Our amazing weekend away with our extended family on this beautiful estate was perfect.

This beautiful country estate with well appointed accommodations met our needs perfectly. The property is clean and well-maintained. We had plenty of space for our 8 adults and 8 kids and the owners, David and Jody, made our stay so relaxing. Jody was so accommodating to our special needs with my aging dad and our 6-yr old niece as well. I highly recommend the scavenger hunt and the movie night. These two events were the highlight of the weekend for the kids. The views on this property are picturesque so morning coffee was a perfect time to sit and talk in front of the windows for the adults. If you want a perfect time for a larger group or family gathering this is the place!
