The Lake Escape Near Forster

Nestled in the tranquility of the Pacific Palms is The Lake Escape at Tarbuck Bay, directly across the road from the shores of gorgeous Smiths Lake with totally uninterrupted views that will take your breath away! Only 10 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast including Seal Rocks, Blueys, Boomerang, Cellito and Elizabeth beach.

This is your perfect destination for a romantic getaway, an anniversary treat to your loved one or the long-awaited trip that you always wanted to get out of the busy life in the big city and spend time with your family, kids and your beloved pet (yes, we are pet-friendly).

We provide free of charge two kayaks (1xSingle and 1xDouble) for our guests together with oars and life jackets. Just bring your fishing rods and bait!

Ten metres across the road enjoy a walk along the lakefront or walk a further 10 minutes to Brambles reserve, both "off Leash" pet exercise areas, The Lake Escape is ideal for pets and kids. Enjoy boating, swimming, picnics, kayaking, fishing or windsurfing.

We are passionate about pets. We offer the most secure yard as this is one of the most important things when holidaying with your four legged loved ones. We provide dog bowls, toys and double dog bed. All we ask is that you take care of your pet's cleanliness when you leave.

Smiths Lake Bowling Club provides a free shuttle bus daily. "The Recky" Pacific Palms Recreation at Elizabeth Beach where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over Wallis Lake on the lakefront balcony. They also provide a free shuttle bus daily and both clubs offer great food, including local seafood for great value.

Blueys Beach shops offers pizza, fish and chips, bottleshop and small supermarket. Closer by is Smiths Lake shops which has a general store, bottle shop, butcher and café and hairdresser. There are 3 general stores all within a few minutes drive offering ice, fuel and bait & tackle.

A beautiful Lake Escape!
Thank you for hosting us at your beautiful Lake Escape! We enjoyed celebrating Christmas during our stay and found the property to be well appointed, clean and very comfortable, especially with air-conditioning throughout the house. We hope to return for another stay!

Peaceful home in great location!
This home is well equipped with everything you may need. What we loved is the lake view and the security of the fences and lockable gates for the kids and the dog. There was nothing else we needed and it was just an all round lovely stay. We hope to return soon! Thanks Jane and Jim!

Very relaxing and easy to access. Great amenities and view. Very happy that the fridge was on and the freezer had ice blocks when we arrived. Couldn’t work out the tv, but internet access was easy. Some instant coffee would have been good to go with the great variety of teabags. Elderly mum managed the few steps (with help) and enjoyed her stay, and the “lovely, fluffy towels”. Would have liked to open the back and side gates for no-step access, but we managed. Great off street parking area for our cars. My daughter came to the house to prepare for her wedding at the Green Cathedral. She was also impressed. We all agreed (including the wedding photographer) that the location and house were very special. We had an unexpected late checkout from Jim and Jane, which allowed my daughter and new son-in-law to call-in and collect wedding prep items and leave some more wedding cake. Very easy stay. Would definitely consider a return visit.

Lovely home with beautiful views
Enjoyed our time here, house has everything you need for a self contained stay. Yard securely fenced for dogs, would have to be a puppy or very small breed to have any issues. Good idea to take a Chromecast as at the time there was no free to air stations on TV so this allowed us to stream normal TV to see news, footy etc. Netflix and NBN connection faultless.

The Lake Escape
The Lake Escape had the most amazing views of the Lake. The house was clean and had that holiday feel. We had issues with Netflix but the problem was fixed asap by Jim. We enjoyed the bottle of wine left by Jane and Jim (thanks). The only negative was the busy road between the house and the lake. Enjoying the view of the lake from the verandah was spoiled by the constant through traffic.

Lovely location
Property was lovely but we had travelled with our dog expecting he would be allowed in most places as he had been on coastline to the south of Sydney but unfortunately he was not and this limited our enjoyment of the surrounding beaches and look outs. Such a shame.

My husband and I had a two night stay at The Lake Escape. Everything that we needed was provided. Good location to drive to Smiths Lake cafe and small grocery store. Not too far from Blueys Beach for great pizza! Backyard was secure for our dog. Thank you to the owners for a lovely bottle of wine that was left for us.
