Peel Cottage is an original miners cottage built in the 1860`s, you will find with modern amenities and restoration it is a lot more comfortable than the first owner would have experienced.

Whether you are holidaying or here for business Peel Cottage offers comfortable surroundings, making your stay a pleasant experience and providing you a home away from home in Ballarat.

Your day begins with a welcoming breakfast basket on arrival. There is a lovely garden in the courtyard, where you can relax and enjoy your stay. Spend your time in complete privacy. The cottage is completely self contained, with a double room, a twin room and all cooking facilities available.

Lovely property but not wheelchair or walker friendly access for someone who has mobility issues - too many steps and pathway slippery in the wet. Once inside all good, comfy cosy etc. Lovely and warm and welcoming but for me the double bed and pillows were too firm (next time I would bring my own pillows but that's just me; there really was nothing amiss with the quality of furnishings and fittings provided). I couldn't get the TV remote to work - batteries possibly flat (otherwise it's just me being a techno-clutz!!). My partner was unable to accompany me due to unexpected health issue, but he would not have been able to negotiate the steps and up to the house - an issue which was not discernable from the advertised description or photos. I would recommend this property as a homey stay for anyone who is able-bodied. It is lovely and quiet, close to CBD and all the essentials and little extras are provided - great attention to detail. Loved the biscuits, muffins and Yarra Valley Jams. Lots of options for cooking and all the basics provided to help make a home cooked meal away from home.

Cosy, warm cottage. Very comfy bed, modern bathroom with lovely hot shower. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and basic breakfast supplies. Close to town. Easy parking outside.

This is a great little place to stay when visiting the area. Everything you needed was there to help you through your visit, Warm and cosy, and close to everything. We would definitely stay again.

Not quite what we expected.
The beds were comfortable, the inside of the house was clean but the outside didn’t look as beautiful as the advert for this property. The so called garden front and back needed a lot of TLC a bit disappointing because that’s the reason we chose this property. Unfortunately the Outside BBQ didn’t appear to be very clean , so we didn’t have our BBQ. There was also a dog either next door or behind that barked day and night. Very frustrating.

We had a lovely stay. On arrival, heating and lighting were on and as it was typical Ballarat weather, this was much appreciated. Breakfast was provided which was a nice addition. Very cosy, clean and love the updated bathroom. Thanks so much.

beautiful cottage.
What a great little cottage. Warm and cozy. Great bathroom and kitchen. Comfy beds. Inviting porch at the back with BBQ. Close to the mall, Main Street and shopping centre. The owner Lui was warm and welcoming. Definitely be back again.
