Mulberry Cottage - 2 Minute walk to town

A self contained granny flat in beautiful Bellingen. Double bed, own bathroom, kitchen with kettle, microwave, fridge, griller. Laundry available for use on request. Situated on the Mid North Coast of NSW midway between Sydney and Brisbane this property is located in a heritage property in the heart of Bellingen, but tucked away in a quiet, lovely garden with birds, veggie patch, fruit trees, cat and two dogs. You will wake to the sound of birds, and fall asleep to the sound of frogs. You can access our vege garden and fruit trees.

We provide milk, tea, coffee, cereal for a light breakfast.

The bathroom is large and airy with a shower where you step on beach pebbles. We provide home made soap made with our own essential oils.

The Cottage is only a two minute stroll into historic and alternative Bellingen township with its many organic cafes and coffee shops, award winning restaurants and gelato bar, boutique shopping, galleries and craft shops. The Cottage is a 20 minute drive to either the World Heritage Rainforest of Dorrigo or the beautifully quiet beaches and river of Urunga, and Coffs Harbour.

Swimming in summer is a 2 minute walk to the Bellinger River or 10 minute drive to to the clean and deep fresh waterholes of the Never Never River or in our pool. A further 15 minutes and you reach the coastline, where kilometres of near-deserted beaches can be explored. Surfers love Hungry Head, Third Headland, Urunga Headland and further south, Valla Beach, and Nambucca Heads.

Check in time is 2:00pm unless otherwise requested and depending on other bookings. Checkout time is 10:00 am.

We are happy to welcome you and then leave you alone. The dogs will be very welcoming but are in a separate yard.

Please remember that check in is 2:00 pm and check out is 10:00am unless otherwise discussed. We need these times to prepare for new guests coming in. Thanks for understanding.

Had a great stay in this lovely cottage. Location is great, in easy walking distance to the centre of town and just a short drive to Dorrigo and Coffs. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay.

Cute little cottage
This is a cute little cottage perfect for a two night stay. Walking distance to the village and there are some very good restaurants!! Charlies on Church St and Fumier. Brunos also looked good. Book. They get full quick! Nice and peaceful. Overall ... would stay again.

Hidden peaceful stay in beautiful Bellingen
What a wonderful place for our first visit to Bellingen the lovely hosts were welcoming and there if we needed anything.the accommodation was pefect for us to explore, which we did each day. 2.minutes to the main st and the heart of Bellingen. 15 minutes to Dorrigo national Park and 15 minutes to gorgous Urunga made it the perfect getaway. Well definitely be back.

Peace and tranquility
This property is so comfortable and quiet and so close to all shops that you can walk it. Yummy breakfast options, morning teas, alcohol or just some retail therapy by creative people. The hosts were very generous with their local knowledge, recommendations and garden produce if needed. I suggested the directions could be tweeked (lanes are roads without signs). Bed was comfy and the shower always seemed to be extra yummy (soft water maybe). Would definitely go again.

A charming, hidden cottage in the middle of town
Our hosts have tried to anticipate everything we might need, beyond a boring hotel room. Considering that it is a granny flat in someone’s back yard, it was incredibly private, peaceful and quaint. The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk to the main street. Thank you Shani and Steve, we had a wonderful time.

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a short stay in Bellingen. Friendly and helpful owners. A close walk to the shops and cafes. Wifi would have been good because my phone had no service in Bellingen.

Delightful Country hideaway
Lovely little apartment surrounded by garden green with lots of bird life. The cottage is a perfect size for a couple, has everything you need- including super comfortable bed and deck to relax on. It’s also minutes walk into bellingen.
