Swells - Beach Front

Tastefully renovated to provide all the creature comforts you would expect. Enjoy the fresh air, sound of the surf, panoramic beach and ocean views across MacMasters. Relax.

Swells is comfortable for up to 6 people.

Recently renovated (January 2020) and extended, the main house has 2 sections, the front access is to Swells and the back section (access from the west side of the main house), is called Jūrmala. (named after a famous resort in Latvia).

Swells has 2 bedrooms. Master bedroom has a queen bed. 2nd bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed (2 singles). Bedding, fresh linen and bath towels are provided. Families are welcome to provide your own portable cot and bedding for your infant. Dining can be inside or out. Loads of balcony space to relax. The park next door means you have panoramic views for the park, beach and ocean.

Parking is on the street or in the beach car park. The driveway parking is reserved for guests of Jurmala. The driveway may be used for unloading and loading. It is a steep driveway so care is needed when using it.

Mini beach holiday
Was a great place to stay with the kids for a long weekend by the beach. Peter was very responsive when contacted. Would definitely come back again.

Great location with park, beach, ocean pool and cafe on your doorstep. Covered deck and BBQ mean you can cook and eat outside as often as you like. Thoroughly enjoyed our stays.

Swells is perfect for a family vacation. The place is clean and comfy for 3 persons. Proximity to beach is very convenient. And the shower is awesome.

Brilliant location with large deck looking out at a park and the beach. Really well equipped and linen and towels provided. Heaps of the basics you need in a house which are rarely provided- toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, tea bags etc. thanks Peter

perfect location and well equipped for our self catering requirements.
we wanted a peaceful, lazy pre-Christmas break and have stayed at McMasters Beach before, so the proximity to the beach and the lack of shops and traffic was ideal. The house has two separate bedrooms and is a renovated beach house surrounded by great decks. All was spotlessly clean. We shopped for the week at Kincumber (about 10 mins drive) and didn't need to leave after that. There are some lovely walks in the surrounding area. The property needs some hooks/towel rails for bath towels. The weather was very humid and it was hard to get towels and beach gear dry.

Couples and families alike
Whilst we stayed here as a couple, there is ample room for a family. The facilities are modern, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well designed to cater for a crowd. In our case, we, the grandparents, stayed in Swells, whilst our children and grandchildren stayed in Surf Inn. It was a great arrangement and we are looking forward to doing it again.

Absolute beachfront bliss
Everything was perfect. The location was truly incredible - being able to walk across the road to beautiful Macmasters Beach made it one of the best and easiest holidays with kids we've ever had! The house has everything - excellent kitchen, comfy beds, amazing deck to sit on and enjoy the ocean breeze/view - everything you could want for a great beach holiday! Thank you so much Peter, we will definitely return!

A great spot to enjoy a relaxing and easy stay at beautiful MacMasters Beach. So close to the beach and has everything you need. WiFi drops in and out a bit, but other than that a wonderful break.

Great beach getaway
Swells is very conveniently located across from the kids playground and the beach. You can watch the kids play from the balcony and the Barefoot cafe is just a short stroll away. The only downside was the mobile reception and wifi signal tended to drop out at times. I suspect it's due to the low position of the property but when you go on a holiday to unwind, it's really a first world problem.

Great, worth the stay!
I walked in like I was home, impressed really well with the cleaning of the house… would love to come back and stay there again… the location is amazing and easy straight to park and beach… the locals are very friendly!
