This property is perfect for a couple to stay in if you are looking to explore PA and all it had to offer. My husband and I were able to travel to places such as Intercourse and Gettysburg, hike trails, drive through the farm lands etc. the property has such wonderful charm and history. Tom and Amanda were AMAZING hosts. The property was super clean, had all the amenities and then some!
We absolutely loved this house, nothing bad to say about the house or host. Easy check-in, communication with owners was very easy got back to you quick. Very cozy, warm and awesome house. Will differently stay again. The Conestoga Wagon restaurant our go to
The house was very cozy and well maintained. It was close to many walking trails and creeks. Check in and check out were very easy. Hosts were easy to get a hold of. Shower pressure was great- a lot better than some other places we have stayed. The only draw back is if you are looking for complete quiet. During the day there was a lot of traffic up and down the road.
I would highly recommend staying here. Our whole experience was fantastic!
Even with such a distinct design, Tom & Amanda have put together an experience that takes you away from the daily routines of home while providing all of home's comforts. The Trolley Station was beautiful and they were phenomenal hosts through and through. There are plenty of things to do nearby, and plenty of options for spending your time indoors as well, if you prefer. Favorite activity was the Morr Range!
To Tom & Amanda - Thank you so much for a phenomenal weekend!
My wife and I have stayed in another property owned by Tom & Amanda and were disappointed when it was booked on the date of our getaway. Tom suggested we take a look at the Trolley House, so glad we did. Trolley House is a beautiful little house built in 1860. Updated tastefully in a way that maintains its character but makes it very comfortable. We found it to be just close enough to our favorite spots around Lancaster but far enough to be very private. We loved everything about it and will definitely be back for another getaway weekend. Tom & Amanda are fantastic hosts, we highly recommend staying in one of thier beautiful and clean properties.
Also, loved the classic PA whoopie pies waiting for us on the kitchen island:)

Trolley House
We had a lovely memorial weekend at the trolley house, but unfortunately, there were various factors that negatively impacted our stay. We would have appreciated if the listing had disclosed that the bedroom is on the third floor to plan ahead for accessibility needs. The second floor had a distinct rotten egg smell throughout our stay, which we suspected came from one of the radiators needing to be cleaned. We knew due to the historical significance of this location the building would not have the best infrastructure or window/door seals, but the third floor bedroom was absolutely crawling with ants, spiders, moths, etc, all over the floor and on the bed. It was evident the place wasn't properly cleaned before arrival due to the squashed bugs left all over the floor, walls, and the cobwebs throughout the house. The bed itself was so squeaky it was difficult to sleep uninterrupted. Finally, though the house is situated on a back road, we were up all hours of the night due to heavy motorcycle activity on this through street. We did enjoy spending time on the porch swing, and the house had a plethora of books, magazines, and games for all ages. The binder of local attractions was very thorough and we enjoyed the complimentary whoopie pies!
We really enjoyed our stay at this unique spot as a couple's getaway before our newest baby joins us in a few weeks. We stayed here over a chilly weekend and the home was cozy and comfortable, with lots of charm.
We enjoyed getting to explore the surrounding areas a bit as well, and went for a drive to get lunch in the Lancaster area one day, passing several Amish farms along the way -- complete with horse-drawn tractors, buggies, sprawling and well-kept farms, and a different pace of life. Perfect for a weekend of quieting the mind, book-reading, walking the nearby trails and escaping the noise.
It is rather remote, and we did read to bring food and personal supplies ahead of time, which was wise. There were lots of utensils, blankets, books, speaker, etc. provided but not much other than k-cups (which was absolutely communicated, we were just glad we were noticed this and brought all of our own supplies as a quick trip to the store would have been difficult!). We also really enjoyed the outside area and fire pit. This home covered all the bases for us.
Overall it is a unique and lovely place. Thank you for opening your Trolley house up to us! Great memories.
We had a very relaxing stay in a historic building surrounded by nature and trails. If you are looking for a place to relax and explore, this is the place. Owners responded to every question quickly. Their home is full of warmth and they made sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. We plan to return again in the future. So much to explore, a weekend was not enough time.
We wanted to go to Lancaster and do a little hiking. This beautiful property is about 25 minutes from the city and a very easy drive. There are trails literally right outside too. Overall a quiet but still accessible place to stay. We did go to the weekend market and Field of Screams which you should check out if staying here!
It was exactly what we were looking for. It was a quiet, relaxing and thoughtful stay. Beautiful property, the attention to details that made us feel welcome and it was just rustic enough to give the place a unique personality.
Loved the area, the trails that ran by the stream right near the house were easy to find and fun to walk along. At night you can hear the stream from the porch swing. I spent a night sitting out there and looking at all the stars because it gets dark enough out there to actually see them.
We also had a night where we used the fire pit and used sticks to make hotdogs which was a nice touch. Plenty of cut wood was provided and we didn’t have any issue getting the fire going even though we hadn’t much experience.
Overall it was just really nice. Would def stay again.
We really enjoyed our time in this beautifully decorated and cozy home. Close enough to anything necessary and many things to do. Beautiful area and across the street from the Pequea Creek walk ending at a covered bridge. Absolutely fabulous! Thank you for sharing your home!
The property was nicely equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The area was abundant with historical and outdoor recreation opportunities. We could reach many great parts of Lancaster county within 20 minutes. I loved the original stone structure and country charm.
We were very comfortable with the place. Everything we needed was there for us.
Great experience!
