Excellent quite location, with a relaxing bush view
We found the property clean with great quality sheridan linen & towels.
Kitchen and BBQ were well equipped, which included a pod coffee machine.
Excellent stay and would return.
A lovely property that suited us with three kids and two dogs. The later were vital to the kid's enjoyment and the kangaroos all over the place made it very special. The property has all the facilities we needed and we wished it hadn't been raining as the firepit looked great,
Great dog friendly house. The house had everything you need. A great selection of Teas and coffee and plenty of them. Inside house was very clean and comfortable. The only complaint is the outside was a bit dirty and garden overgrown with weeds. The windows needed a good clean. Overall a great place to stay with a dogs. We will be back for sure.
This property was in a great location and has everything you need, also just a short stroll up to the golf club for food, coffee and access to the gym, pool and other amenities. Our little puppy loved the yard to run around in, which is fenced off and great for pets. Beds were comfortable, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Family of 4 traveling from Sturgis South Dakota, USA. Enjoyed our stay at the Tea House and touring Hunter Valley. Had many Hoppers lurking around the property in the early a.m. hours, and many different types of birds too. Very relaxing and inviting property.
We had a great couple of days around the valley and then lockdown started and we spent plenty of time in the house. Great spot to relax with bush/golf course view. Kids rode their bikes round the neighbourhood and mum and dad could relax in any of the sunny spots around the house.
We had a really nice time at The Teahouse. It was clean, and the rooms were quite nice. Great location at The Vintage. Very happy and would love to come back again!
The place was filthy. Top of fridge was filthy. Drink mug marks on table next to bed on front room.
The carpets were filthy. Pet hair all over the carpets. Hard to get ready for a wedding with the carpets so dirty. Pet hair stick Cups, knives also had to be washed before use.
Even the bbq was dirty before use. The location was great, place was good of it was not so dirty

Disliked: Cleanliness
“Creepy”
Prior knowledge of the owners ongoing presence and loitering would have been appreciated
Location was good
A hidden treasure in the Hunter - you walk down a side path, through a pretty garden, and there you find a spacious, private retreat complete with wraparound veranda, outdoor fire, spacious living and well resourced kitchen. Highly recommend.
The property is gorgeous, with a private, leafy outlook, expansive lawn, a great deck with multiple lounging options, and a lovely courtyard with garden lights, and a firepit in winter. The back deck overlooks the golf course, and we enjoyed a sunset drink watching a family of kangaroos grazing in the afternoon sun, and birds inhabiting the surrounding trees. The house is also lovely, with all mod cons, thoughtful appointments, a great sofa (perfect for an afternoon nap), and comfy beds. Perfect for the two of us & our fur-baby - but could easily accommodate up to four adults (and perhaps a child or two in the loft room). Everything worked as expected; and the booking / check-in process was very, very smooth. Would highly recommend The Japanese Teahouse!
We stayed recently during our return to Brisbane from Albury. It was a blazing hot couple of days and the cool air-conditioning was welcoming on arrival. A lovely house, and yard, very well appointed and equipped with everything to make for a comfortable, fun stay. Well suited also for our dog who was travelling with us. Met the owners who were passing by, very friendly folks. Thanks, well be back ... probably in winter !!
We loved our week in this house and wish it could have been longer, if fact if it hadn’t been booked out already we would have extended our stay.
It’s a lovely property in a great location - close to everything in the Hunter Valley. Additionally the owners are lovely people - we had a all day wine tour booked and were worried our dog would be unhappy by herself so the owners offered to look after her for the day and have her play with their dogs.
Super comfortable and clean with lovely, thoughtful personal touches to really make your stay great!
We had a fantastic time! Loved the information and stories behind the different kimono that were provided, excellent bed linen and towels supplied, super comfy beds, really clean and well thought out and great tea/coffee/kitchen options too! Was so lovely and welcoming and we'll definitely book to stay again!
Beautiful place, close to everything you need. The back deck is the perfect spot to enjoy breaky! Added bonus is the use of the Vintage facilities such as the pool and tennis court - great for the kids.

The perfect location
Enjoyed a wonderful weekend based from "The Japanese Tea House" The property was beautifully clean and immaculately presented. Looking out onto the beautiful Vintage Golf Course the home had everything we could have wished for, is central to all the Hunter attractions and the real bonus - the owners are happy to accommodate your much loved pooch as well! We travel to the Hunter a few times a year for a weekend away and this was our best stay yet! Thanks for offering your lovely, comfortable home to us. We will certainly be back!

We loved our time at the Japanese Tea house!
A wonderful house in a great location. We stayed a week over the New Year period. Great home base to explore the Hunter Region. We loved using the pool and walking to the club house for coffee/lunch/happy hour! Seeing the kangaroos early morning was a highlight for the kids. I would highly recommend this gorgeous little house. It’s very well appointed and the coffee pods/beautiful selection of T2 teas was a great addition. Even our boarder collie dog enjoyed her stay!
