Sadly disappointed
We never received any information on how to access the property, so phoned the host and were advised we had to collect the keys from a real estate office before 5pm (which is impossible on a Friday afternoon coming from Sydney) or pay a $25 cash fee to someone to meet us at the property at 5:45pm with the keys. This was very disappointing.
On arrival the house was freezing and there was no heating downstairs. We found some column heaters in the cupboard, one small one worked but didn’t help at all, one didn’t work, and one we didn’t want to touch as it was covered in some sort of bird or insect poo.
The couches and chairs upstairs were covered in long white dog hair. The cushions were visibly dirty and smelled awful.
The coffee machine milk component was broken.
The cups were all stored upside down on a sticky mat in the drawer. We had to put them all through the dishwasher first.
There were cobwebs everywhere, in particular around the windows and roller blinds, and there was a giant wolf spider on the ceiling in the bunk room.
I never leave negative reviews however we were so disappointed in this property, especially given the price we paid.
The only good thing was the location, 5 stars, straight across from the beach and a very short walk to shops and cafes.
