Georgina's Place - secluded beach getaway

Georgina’s Place is a simple, architect designed, open plan cedar house on stilts. It is surrounded on two sides by a 3m wide shaded deck looking out onto tranquil bushland and is only 20 short paces down to Brown’s Beach. The single space interior has a queen bed and separate bunk, so is ideal for accommodating a couple or small family. The bathroom is off the back door but still under the main roof.

A fully kitted out kitchen with oven, fridge, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses make this comfortable self-catering accommodation.

Large windows give you a constant view of the ever-changing colours, light and climate that characterise this beachside location. But what is really special about this beachside location is that is nestled in the Australian bush, with no neighbours in sight, visited only by wildlife, such as the occasional kangaroo that hops by at dusk.

The wide deck is great for waking up over breakfast coffee, having a meal at anytime of the day, or drinking your favourite cocktail watching the sunset.

Kangaroo Island is gorgeous all year round and changes with the seasons. Brisk walks along the beach or exploring the many sites in the area during the day, and then relaxing over a leisurely dinner with the warmth of the wood fired heater are hard to beat.

Georgina’s Place is a comfortable place to stay with:

• Sitting room area overlooking the beach and bay
• Kitchen with fridge, gas stovetop and electric oven, all utensils, cutlery, crockery, glasses, kettle, coffee plunger and teapot
• TV, selection of books and some old fashioned games such as Scrabble and Monopoly
• Bathroom with shower off the back door but still under the same roof.
• All bed linen and towels provided
• Front porch for outdoor dining or sitting with your morning coffee
• Large slow combustion heater (wood supplied at no additional charge but guest supplies are always welcome!)
• Baby cot & feeding stool (no additional charge - just let us know your requirements)

Absolutely lovely home. A short 10 minute drive to ferry. I think the current photos don't do the property justice. I recommend taking new ones that show off how large and gorgeous the home is. The kitchen has nearly everything you need - only item I noticed missing was a colander. You have your own beach a short stroll away. There's almost no light pollution, so the sky was incredible. Absolutely stay here! My only regret is I stayed just two nights - wish it was a week.

Georgina's place is a great getaway place. Location is brilliant with the beach close by, and in the bush. Everything we needed was available, and the place is spacious and comfortable. Fantastic views and we really enjoyed our stay.

Georgina's Place is comfortable and cosy, in a great location nestled in the bush with the beach almost on your doorstep. We enjoyed watching the small birds in the bush and the sunsets were amazing. Conveniently located close to Penneshaw, the cottage was a peaceful haven to return to after a day exploring stunning Kangaroo Island.

Cracking beach shack in private location with beach access. Glorious sunsets. Cosy inside for winter months with generous outside living on the deck ideal for consuming the wine and other delights that you have collected from around the island.

This property was a great location to everything. We did a lot a travelling to see Kangaroo Island. Then to come back to Georgine's with your own beach out front it was beautiful. The sunsets were amazing.
