About this property

Eagles Nest Village On Pristine Pine Creek. Unique property with 3 cabins!

Eagles Nest Village features three distinct homes on the same property. The primary residence, Eagles Nest, is a large 3-bedroom house that accommodates up to 9 guests. Behind it lies Coyote Cabin, a two-bedroom dwelling for 5 people. The third, Chickadee Cottage, is an efficiency cottage with a queen bed, a sofa bed, a compact kitchen, and a small bathroom. Renting this trio of properties is ideal for family reunions or gatherings of multiple families.

Guests can gather on Eagles Nest's expansive deck while still enjoying privacy in their individual cabins. Such a unique combination of common areas and private spaces is rare.

The rental boasts beautiful creek frontage along the unspoiled Pine Creek.

Eagles Nest includes a full kitchen, a dining room that seats 12, a spacious living area, and a bar. The second story offers 3 bedrooms, each with window AC units. The master and second bedrooms feature queen-sized beds, with the latter also having a twin bed, while the third bedroom has a full-sized bed. Both floors provide a full bathroom; the upper with a shower, washer, and dryer, and the lower with a bathtub and shower. The home's oversized deck is perfect for outdoor dining or leisure with loved ones.

Coyote Cabin offers a sizable living room, a complete kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, laundry facilities, and a deck with views of Pine Creek. It is equipped with a window AC in the living area and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Steps behind the main house lead to this cabin.

Chickadee Cottage, situated slightly further back, is a cozy efficiency that comfortably sleeps two but can accommodate up to four. It features a queen-sized bed, a pull-out sofa, and convenient parking, simplifying the loading and unloading process.

The rental season extends from April - October.

The fishing season kicks off in April, with the creek fully stocked with trout and numerous prime fishing spots nearby.

Pine Creek is ideal for rafting, canoeing, and kayaking during the spring and sometimes in the summer. Since the water level can fluctuate rapidly, it's important to check the current conditions before embarking on any outdoor adventures. Pine Creek Outfitters provides a useful website with links to the river's water level readings, which can be found at pinecrk.com.

Situated near the cabin is the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, known for its excellent hiking trails and scenic views. About 30 minutes away lies Cherry Springs State Park, designated as a "dark sky" area, offering exceptional stargazing possibilities.

The summer months offer perfect conditions for creek tubing, deck lounging, campfire gatherings, horseshoe games, and more.

Great set of houses and perfect location

Loved the main house and cottages. We had a great time kayaking and floating in the creek, hiking, and stargazing. Our kids spent hours playing around in the creek finding tadpoles, crawfish, and other fun animals. The porch was really nice to hang outside.

Wow!

I don't know where to start - we had a phenomenol family vacation at Eagles' Nest! The three separate cabins matched our family perfectly (Grandma, 3 grown children with spouses and 5 grandchildren) and the pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are much larger than they appear in the photos! Everything we could have needed was provided and the creek access was perfect for my 5 grandsons. Lots of memories made and Shelley is the perfect hostess. Wish I could have rated it a 10!

Merry go round of bikes

The location was perfect for our family of 13; 3 generations together for 5 days. We spent the majority of our time at the property on the deck of the main house which was huge and our 5 grandkids constantly rode their bikes around the deck for hours of fun! We saw eagles fly by and even land in a nearby tree. We rafted and kayaked on the creek, cast our fishing lines in the water and enjoyed making memories at Eagles Nest. Nearby we hiked and biked taking in the beautiful views of the canyon. Shelley was very accomodating to us and a gracious host.

Incredible house for a larger group!

This property is absolutely perfect for our annual adult family/friend group. We rented all three houses and it did not disappoint! The first thing we all commented on was the cleanliness of the property! The deck was big enough for cornhole and can jam, wow. There was plenty of seating for everyone everywhere. We felt right at home while staying here. One thing to note is there isn’t any service for awhile in the surrounding area so if you are going anywhere like the Grand Canyon or grocery store plug the destination into your phone while on Wi-Fi at the house. 10/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Pennsylvania Paradise

Eagle's Nest lives up to and goes beyond the description of the property and area. The home(s) were very clean upon arrival. The massive deck with plenty of seating for all, looks out on the beautiful Pine Creek- so relaxing. The fire pit (again with plenty of seating) is very well kept right along the creek shoreline. The are several hiking and walking paths within short driving distances that take you along the West Rim of the Canyon through the woods and overlooks, or take you to the walking/biking paths along the creek beds. Saw over 10 bald eagles and eaglets - 2 right off the deck at the main cottage. All three cottages came in handy for sleeping- plenty of beds. The main house has a very large eating/game playing area and a full living area that was relaxing to sit and visit in during the evening or early morning! This will be included in our "favorites" for VRBO experiences- will likely include a return visit in the future.

Perfect setup

Had a great week at the property with friends. Loved the property and the location, it was quiet, relaxing, and the creek across the road was perfect to relax next to. The main house has a great bar area that was perfect for our group, and having multiple houses allowed our families with kids to get naps and meals in without being woken up by the main house. We loved hanging out on the huge deck, plenty of room for everyone. Owners are great, we had a very minor issue that they arrived immediately for and addressed quickly. Thanks for a great week!

Incredible!!

I cannot say enough about our stay at the Eagles Nest! The pictures do not do this property justice…so beautiful. Everything was clean, convenient, and truly exceeded our expectations. We were a multi generational group, everyone had plenty of space and we felt like we hour own family compound. Fish were caught (and then grilled!) , we saw eagles and egrets and had a wonderful time making s’mores at the campfire right next to the creek. We visited Coltons Point and the “Pa Grand Canyon” , went horseback riding, and just enjoyed every minute of being together in this beautiful place. We can’t wait to return- thank you for an amazing experience!

A perfect place for our annual family get-together!

Our group was made up of 12 adults, and 4 young boys, age 4 and under. The property at Eagles Nest Village more than met our expectations. There's a beautiful, large deck off of the main house where there was plenty of space for all of us to hand out together. We ate every meal out on the deck. It worked well with the 4 young boys because they had lots of space to run but we could relax knowing that there were boundaries to keep them in. Having the use of the cabin and cottage in addition to the main house allowed families with children to have their own space when needed for naps, etc. The main floor of Eagles Nest is very spacious and we never felt crowded even when all of us were indoors (which wasn't often because we had such beautiful weather). All of the homes are well stocked with towels and linens. The main home has ample kitchen supplies. There are also games to use. Everyone loved wading in Pine Creek that runs in front of the property. The water was so pristine and clear. We also enjoyed floating down Pine Creek on the rubber tubes. We had pleasant evenings sitting around the campfire at night and cooked one of the meals in the pit. We played horse shoes and corn hole in the yard by the creek. One day we went for a hike at Leonard Harrison State Park that overlooked the PA grand canyon. Shelley was always readily available when we had any questions. She and her husband take great care of their property. All the homes felt like home with modern conveniences and well furnished and decorated. Our family gets everyone together for at least a long weekend every year because we have family members living in China, Nevada, SC, and NY. Needless to say, we cherish this time together and Eagles Nest was just the perfect spot for us to enjoy our time together.

You will not want to leave!!

10 stars!! This place is fabulous. The location is perfect and the view is serene. Shelly was a very helpful host – always available when I had questions (and that was 1 -3 months before the trip and as close as 3 days!). I even received some messages while we were there, as she knew the creek could be dangerous because of all the rain they had recently. The main house is huge and has plenty of space to spread out if necessary. We had some rainy days and evenings, so we were able to enjoy the games they had there and I even did a puzzle; it only took 3 nights and 4 people to help finish it. The dining room and kitchen are very nice and there is a “serving window” between. So you could hand things through to someone to place on the table. The large deck area was great for the kids to play when it had just rained, so they didn’t get all muddy. When it finally cleared up, we were able to enjoy the fire pit area by the creek. It was so peaceful. We played horseshoes and corn hole in the evening as well. I love the little cottage that is basically a one room efficiency. It is adorable! The shower is a little tight if you are a larger person, but it gets the job done. As much as I love the main house, I think Coyote cabin is my favorite. I love the modern bathroom and there is NO internet there, but a DVD player is provided and I had brought some from home! If you walk out onto the back deck at Coyote Cabin, you have a beautiful view of the creek from there. Each house has its own fire pit and grill, which is nice for a couple or a small family to rent just one of the properties. I love that it is easy access to Route 6, no driving 2 miles on the gravel mountain roads. We went to the Log Cabin Inn for dinner one evening because it was so close. We also stopped at the Old Antler’s Inn for a drink one evening as well, again, because it was so close. In Eagle’s Nest, there is a book you can write in about your time there. I wrote a novel (compared to other people) and detailed everything we did. I like to do that because it sometimes gives other people ideas of things to do while in the area. I could go on and on… but I won’t… Shelly and Dirk are wonderful caretakers of their properties and super great people. I would definitely love to return to Eagle’s Nest again!

Clean spacious property, sofa beds not good for adults

This property having three houses was nice for our party of three families. Very clean and spacious. The kitchens were well equipped with all the necessary items. The only problem we had was that the two sofa beds were very uncomfortable, there were springs inside the mattress, not just under the mattress, which made it extremely uncomfortable for an adult. A very young child might be able to sleep on the sofa bed, but I wouldn't recommend it for an adult. That being said, if our group were to plan to return to this area we would definitely use this rental again depending on the number of beds we would need.

Spacious, great for groups

What a wonderful setup! This house was perfect for our vacation with some extended family. In total we had 4 families which included 6 kids/babies. There was plenty of space to spread out between the 3 houses and still come together in the main house for meals and spending time together. The deck is so huge and great for a cook-out and playing games. The pictures really don't do it justice to show how spacious this place is. It's really fantastic!

We purchased this property in early 2015. We have enjoyed spending time on Pine Creek while working on the properties!

What makes this property unique

This rental can easily accommodate a large group. It's a great place for a family reunion, large get togethers, etc. There is a large yard area for outdoor activities. We have horseshoe pits and corn hole boards for use.

The property is located on a dead end road. The creek frontage is across the road from the house. There is not much traffic on the road. Most of the properties are used for weekend getaways.
