Jamar Lodge - Come and rest awhile.

Come and relax on a working farm. A lovely quiet retreat, located 25 minutes from Bendigo, 30 minutes from Heathcote and 45 minutes from Echuca. Close to a fabulous, country pub and community swimming pool. An ideal base to enjoy day trips to Bendigo and Echuca or to visit the local wineries in Heathcote. We are also just a short drive from both the Rochester and Colbinabbin Silo Art. Maybe you would like to try some fishing at the nearby Campaspe river or visit a golf course 15 minutes away. Go for walks, learn about our wool production, feed the lambs with bottles of milk, try some yabbying or be creative and do some sketching. Observe the glittering night sky and glorious sunsets in a rural setting. Another option is to observe the bird life. In the Lodge we have a guide book and a list of sighted birds. Cooking facilities include an oven, microwave and barbecue. A continental breakfast is included with fresh fruits when in season.
Jamar Lodge contains two rooms which have a queen and two king singles. There is a spacious kitchen, modern bathroom with a cradle bath and rainforest shower. A huge decking with seating enables you to soak up the serenity. A reverse cycle air conditioner keeps you comfortable in both winter and summer.

Great stay
We totally enjoyed our stay. Learning about life on a sheep farm and feeding the lambs were highlights. Accommodation was very comfortable. James and Maree were so friendly and inviting. Thankyou both for making our stay a lovely one.

Lovely farm stay
We stayed three nights and we all had a lovely time. It was our first time travelling to a rural area I’m embarrassed to say and we didn’t know what to expect and if our kids would cope with having no screens and having not much around ( 4 yo and 8 yo). But the location of Jamar lodge was actually really easy to get to, the place itself was really comfortable for our family of four. It was clean, and the host Maree is the nicest lady you’ll meet. She showed my kids her farm, and talked them through the wool production process and to add to it they even got to feed the baby lambs. Maree’s hospitality made our stay that extra bit special.

Great place to stay
It was just what we needed at the end of our holiday. It was relaxing and peaceful. The kids enjoyed feeding the lambs and meeting the sheep dog. The owners were so helpful and bent over backwards to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend the place. We will be back.

A weekend in paradise
Great place to stay, we will definitely be back. Highlights were feeding the lambs and patting the friendly sheep. We also loved the local country pub and checking out the local wineries. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed

Perfect choice
Above my expectations and turned out to be a perfect choice. Warm, generous hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed and more. The little extras such as chocolates in the fridge and crisps in”the basket of sin”. and coffee pod machine. A wide choice of breakfast cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, and even cans of baked beans and spaghetti. The accommodation is like new inside, with great cooking facilities, air conditioning to keep warm, extremely comfortable beds and a bath that was heaven to soak my aches and pains away after driving all day. On top of this Maree and James gave us a glimpse into their working life on a Merino farm and allowed us to feed Henry the lamb and meet their dogs. Cannot speak highly enough of the accommodation or the hosts.

Amazing farm stay & B&B experience
James and Maree are the perfect hosts who have thought of every little touch to make Jamar lodge something special. The accommodation is lovely, comfy and warm as we visited in winter. The farm experiences with Maree,including bottle feeding lambs were special. The perfect place for recharging your batteries whilst providing a behind the scene look at farm life. I highly recommend it!

Amazing Stay!!
Hi there, this is Shahanaz leaving a review for this amazing stay. Me and my family arrived at this beautiful lodge and were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and the inviting presence of three beautiful lambs, Lightning, Zoey and Tilly in the nearby paddock. After unloading our baggage, we were greeted by our amazing host, Maree, followed by James later in the day who were nothing short of spectacular people. Our stay at this lodge involved a calm atmosphere with various activities set up by Maree and James, which made the stay the most special trip of our lives. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone seeking to have a get away and to enjoy bonding time with their family. Merry Christmas Mary and James!

Great time on the farm
We had a perfect stay at Jamar. The yabbying was brilliant, bottle fed the lambs and watched Charlie the dog rounding up the sheep. The accommodation was ideal. Found some good fishing spots close by. Had a lovely time, we'll be back. Mick.
