So close to it all, yet just far enough away, you will love the wooded location that's just around the corner from Wisp Resort. Enter the roomy main level to discover lots of living space that allows everyone a chance to spread out and relax. The great room is the perfect spot to watch your favorite movie on DVD, complete with Surround Sound! A wall of windows brings the outdoors inside creating an inviting atmosphere.



When mealtime arrives, you'll find everything you need here with a fully equipped kitchen. Share quality time as you dine together with plenty of seating at the table and breakfast bar. Your family will linger long after the dishes are cleared so that they can share stories of what they did at Deep Creek that day.



The den is adjacent to the dining area giving the kids (or the grown-ups) a separate "hang-out" space that offers a TV and a queen sleeper sofa.



Ready to welcome you at the end of a fun-filled day, a bedroom with a queen is located on the main level.



Upstairs, you will find the remaining two bedrooms that each have a queen. One of them features access to a private balcony where you can get a breath of fresh mountain air when you wake or stargaze before bedtime.



The lower level family room is perfectly outfitted for a fun evening in! Watch TV, break out the cards, play a game of bumper pool and all the while keep drinks and snacks handy at the wet bar.

Weekend getaway

Relatively accurate listing. No codes sent for entrance. Spotty cell service so had to leave and drive away to call management for that code. Once received, all good.

Relaxation by the stream

Very nice house and property with stream and hot tub which is perfect for relaxing. Everything was clean, cozy and quiet. We loved the deck and view and the sounds of the stream. We enjoyed the Oakland Autumn glory festival and antiquing. Great place to stay, would recommend.

Perfection

This property is beautiful and you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are only 5 minutes from civilization. It was absolutely perfect. We even saw a bear and baby deer in the yard! Thank-you!!

Wonderful home but property management leaves something to be desired.

This home is absolutely lovely to be simply put! The setting is very peaceful with the nearby stream and feeling of complete privacy even though there is a neighbor through the trees on the one side of the home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal! They provided a wide variety of games, DVDs and books to be enjoyed as well. The company that manages this property however seemed to be completely unprepared for our stay. When we arrived to the property we were greeted by not being provided with any toilet paper in either of the bathrooms in the home. Luckily we did bring a "just in case" roll along. Next we found out that the TV that was supposed to be connected to the dish wasn't working. We did call the office and they sent out a maintenance worker who was very nice and helped as much as he could. Unfortunately it was determined that a loaner TV would need to be brought out the next day. Later we found that the beds were made with only a fitted sheet and a thin quilt, missing the top (flat) sheet. With no other blankets in the home we made do as it was late. Next we found that they forgot to provide our rental with any towels at all. Lastly we also were not provided a key to the hot tub. When I called to the office the next morning everything got put on an eventual maintenance list unless I wanted to go to the office myself to retrieve the items. We would not stay here again because of Taylor-Made.

Great House

This is a great house. Main floor has a bedroom and bath while the upstairs has two bedrooms and a bath. Perfect for a stay with Grandma! This house has a 15 minute drive to any activity but we didn't mind it at all. It was quiet and quaint and everything we needed. Hottub was delightful. We'll be back to this house for sure!

Wonderful place to nestle into the trees and enjoy nature solitude and time with family. We would stay here again. Loved the sound of the stream from inside the home also enjoyed the bedroom deck overlook. House was fully stocked and homey. Kids made great memories thanks for sharing your place.

The property has a nice stream running through offering a nice sound track to your morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the deck. The house is clean, in good repair and up to date. Well stocked kitchen makes preparing meals enjoyable. Good library of dvds, games, and puzzles for those rainy days (we had quite a few) as well as darts, a card table and bumper pool. Convenient access to the northern portion of Deep Creek and Wisp Ski resort. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Cozy family time

The house was laid out perfectly for a family of four. We could all hang out together or relax in our own areas of the home. We loved listening to the stream through our windows. My kids enjoyed the collection of family movies and the Wii in the basement..however they really enjoyed exploring the stream most of all. The hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking. I especially enjoyed all of the mountain, fishing, and nature decor. We wanted a home that felt like we were in the mountains...and this was it. Sweet, homey, cozy, perfect for us. Thank you for a home that brought us closer as a family.

You will enjoy privacy, tranquility and the relaxing sound of the stream (which is also fun to explore.) the house is so spectacular you will not want to leave. Con: the pictures of the house show really cute “Christmas lights” around the hot tub, unfortunately they did not work and the light by the hot tub did not work either. So it was super dark and a little scary in the hot tub.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at By the Stream for Memorial Day weekend 2017 - our family of 6, plus a friends with a family of 5. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we were quite impressed. The setting is so quiet and peaceful. You can tell the owners spend a good deal of time here, there were homey touches and a fully stocked kitchen. Kids loved the hot tub and games in the basement. Only downside was that the basement was a bit damp and musty. Other than that, we were very happy.
