SOUTH AUSTRALIAN Remote Island Getaway: Accessible by Charter Plane or Boat ONLY
This is truly a unique Holiday experience for Couples, Families and Groups that want to experience a remote Island Holiday with pristine Beaches and scenery as well as great Fishing.
This modern and spacious home has all your home comforts with magnificent views, open plan kitchen and dining with 2 Bedrooms: Bdr 1: Queen & King Single, Bdr 2: Single & 2 Bunk Beds and a mezzanine floor with a Tri-bunk, 1 Single bed &2 Double beds.
The house can sleep 15 people.
The property has a 4WD that can be used to get around the Island.
To get to the Island just contact us for options:
- Charter a plane from Parafield Airport, Warooka or Pt Lincoln Airport.
9 passengers or maximum 900Kg from Adelaide or Parafield airport to wedge Island with a quick 40 minute flight costs $1260. ($140 per person - $280 return )
5 passengers from Warooka to Wedge Island costs $650 with a maximum payload of 500kg in a Cherokee 6, any additional flights to get more passengers or gear across $320 per trip.
ie. 10 passengers from Warooka to wedge island costs $970.
4 Passengers plus luggage from Warooka to wedge Island costs $870 each way in a twin engine Piper Seneca.
7 passengers and luggage from parafield airport to wedge island costs $1240 each way with a maximum payload of around 700Kg.
4 passengers and luggage from parafield airport to wedge island costs $970 each way with a maximum payload of around 490Kg
2 Passengers plus luggage from parafield airport to wedge island costs $480 each way with a maximum payload of 230Kg
- Charter a Boat from Marion Bay or Pt Lincoln. Prices start at $1000 each way, but unlike light aircraft you will not be weight limited and will be able to bring as much food and fishing gear as you like. For larger groups of up 15 people, this will be the cheapest way across.

All linen and towels are provided but must be washed and property must be left clean as when arrived.
Optional- Laundry fee $300, We do all the washing and replace the linen, freeing up your last days stay.

Explore the beautiful Coast of Wedge Island and all it has to offer.
The Island is a Conservation and Marine wildlife reserve. No animals or plants are allowed to be brought to the island. ( NO dogs allowed on the island)
There is a lighthouse at the south-eastern end, and highest point, of the island.
The island is not permanently inhabited, but has buildings used for holiday accommodation and as a base for local and offshore recreational fishing. It is also a dive site.
At night the Bettongs, Rock Wallabies & Wombats come out from the many tunnels that are spread out over the Island.
Explore the landscape on a Nature Walk (wear appropriate shoes and pants), There are no snakes on the Island but the Flora can get dense.
There is a Jetty and Beach where Fishing is a must.
Wedge Island is renown for its wonderful marine life.
Wedge Island has an interesting history - there are remains of a RAAF Village from 1944-45 when Wedge Island contained a Radar Base.
Signs of Farming and habitation from many years ago still remain if you look close enough.
