Home away from home!

This is hands down the most amazing accommodation that we have ever stayed at. It was super comfortable and had everything that you would ever need when away from home e.g BBQ when you don’t want to cook in the kitchen that came with ice making fridge, all cooking utensils and oil etc, containers to pack food to take to the beach etc. Amazing choice of snorkels fins and beach gear such as chairs and towels. The location was perfect north of Kona for exploring beaches around and south of Kona and in the north.

Good location near the best beaches

We were happy to be a away from the hustle & bustle of a town. Various great beaches within a 10 minute drive. A very comfortable & well-equipped home with a great sunset view.

Conveniently located in quiet neighborhood

Very efficient layout in a very quiet neighborhood, yet centrally located to the entire Kohala coast. House is full of all you need in your own home, so no time wasted shopping for XYZ during your vacation. Sit back and relax!

perfect location, lovely accomodation

This place is above a busy road, which would normally annoy me. But it is so well appointed, so well laid out, the view so lovely, and the distance to great beaches so close that I wasn't focused on the traffic. The neighbors are lovely. We stayed in 3 rentals on this trip. This was voted the best.

Welcome Home

Truly like “coming home” where you get to relax. Well organized and stocked with more than the bare necessities. Just bring your groceries!!! Generous Outdoor living space is where my family gathered the most, seeing the ocean from under palm trees! Wonderful onshore breezes in the afternoon. Plenty of nearby adventures for easy day trips.

Lovely and peaceful getaway

Georgine's home was so welcoming and had all the supplies needed to feel at home. It was away from the hustle of Kailua Kona, pretty centrally located between Hilo and Kona. It's quiet away from it all, so if you want a city close-by and walkable, this place is not for you. If you want a peaceful sanctuary, this place is for you. I absolutely loved our stay here - Georgine's House of Peace and Joy was exactly that.

Simply Amazing

This was the first time i ever used Vrbo, and just wow. The location, the house, the price were amazing. When we come back to the big island this is the forst place we will check out. The house has everything you need to make food, rice cooker even, spend the day at the beach, (boogie board, umbrella, cooler, chairs, honestly everything. Instructions were so go we never had to reach out to the host. The power did go out our last day at 4 am, but it was the whole neighborhood, but came back on around 6 am, so no home alone moment for us. Well love home and grounds. Thank so much for sharing your house with us!!!! 10 stars if i could.

Every possible detail

This property had it all. It was private, had an amazing view from a spacious lanai, had well appointed beds, and a perfectly outfitted kitchen. The location was right near the islands best beaches, but also close to highways that easily allow you to explore the opposite side of the island too. We will definitely be rebooking if this property is available next summer.

Relaxing

Amazing stay at this guest home. So close to everything and everything was as described. For our family it was perfect, we wanted quiet and it was located right between Hapuna Beach and Kamuela. We love the Big Island and this was awesome, beautiful sunsets, clear starry skies. 5 Stars for sure.

Perfect place to kick off our retirement

We loved our little piece of island life in Georgina’s house. The house was well stocked with chairs and other beach items as well as all cooking essentials since we cooked for ourselves most days. We enjoyed daily sunsets on the patio as well as sweet mornings all the while watching the traffic below as the island woke up. If you are after solitude, comfort and easy access to this area of the island, you are at the right place. We spent lots of time doing yoga at Waimea Yoga and were immediately welcomed into their community. If we return to the island, we would definitely without hesitation book our stay here. Oh and the beds are comfortable too!

The house was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous sunsets and views of the Milky Way from the patio. The place is equipped with anything you would need for your stay. And just minutes from the perfect little beach for swimming and snorkeling

Great value

My son was attending a wedding in Waimea. This was a perfect place to stay. It was close to the wedding venue. It was also close to nice beaches. The place was in a nice neighborhood and had great sunsets. I liked sitting out on the patio and watching the ocean. It is hard to exercise from this location since it is very hilly and the roads are very busy. I found myself driving to Waikoloa to run or walk. The only odd thing was having to take the garbage to a transfer station. This was another stop that had to be done on the way to the airport, and based upon your departure date, it could be not on the way to the airport. For the price and location I would definitely stay here again.

This was our third and favorite VRBO stay on the Big Island-the best for last. We loved the spaciousness and close locale to great beaches, which we enjoyed. The kitchen was loaded with great cookwear/utensils and essentials for meals we cooked. We enjoyed the lanai in the evenings and overall were VERY satisfied with everything about this stay. If we return to the Big Island, this stay will definately be on our itinerary!

Nice, quiet base after exploring

The home is in a lovely and quiet neighborhood, the home has plenty of accessories including coolers, chairs, plates, cups and beach stuff to make it easy. It is 30 minutes north of Kona- it can be a drive to get to things- but otherwise we truly enjoyed relaxing at this residence.

Yes, just perfect. I first rented this house 20 years ago, fell in love with it, and remain so today. Everything you need for housekeeping, and for stepping out and enjoying the island. Super-central location, and a lanai that can't be beat. Maika'i loa.

Séjour parfait sur la Kohala Coast

Propriété impeccable, très bien équipée, à seulement quelques minutes de Spencer Beach Park et de sa plage calme et turquoise. La terrasse (Lanai) est vaste et agréable pour y prendre les repas et/ou l’apéro. Nous y retournerions sans aucune hésitation!

Perfect House with Everything in Kawaihae!

This is our second stay at Hale Maluhia and my husband and I are just in love with this house! The location is perfection, and Georgine, our host, has such a beautifully supplied home with the best lanai, lit by lights at night, friendly geckos and stunning palm trees and view of the ocean! This is such a friendly neighborhood as well, and we have been in love with Kawaihae Village since our first stay, Georgine, we LOVE your house and we will definitely be back for a third stay! Mahalo!

Perfect Paradise Nest

We loved this super sweet, modern and clean home! Sunsets views, comfy beds, waking up to bird song and picking a mango off tree in yard for breakfast on the lanai. The location is fabulous- a quick drive to best beaches and restaurants. And the property manager was fabulous too!

Awesome views/Great Sunsets/Good location

The Property Owner was fantastic and very responsive to everything, easy to deal with, the only issue that we had was with the traffic noise, as you were located above a major cross roads of 2 highways (did not disrupt sleeping patterns), if it wasn't for that the rating would be an excellent across the board, property is conveniently close to some fantastic beaches, and a great location from which to explore the island, The home has everything you would ever need. On each night of our stay that we weren't exploring the Island past sunset, we would sit and watch as the sun went down on a spectacular day.
