Rainbow Mountain Apartments - Unit 8

Accommodating a maximum number of six guests, this flexible apartment is perfect for couples sharing or families. There are two bedrooms, both with King beds, as well as a Queen sofa bed in the main lounge and a double sofa adjoining one of the bedrooms. Each sofa bed(optional) requested attracts an additional cost of $100 per stay (regardless of the length of stay.)

A second toilet makes sharing easier, and with two living areas it provides flexible entertaining options.
The main bathroom is shower only, and also has the washing machine and dryer hidden away for longer stays.

Toiletries and tea/coffee are provided for you, the apartment has all the luxury of a hotel where you are the only guests. You also have the option of cooking up a storm with Tasmania's famous local seafood. Get the freshest catch from the waterfront daily.

The dining room has an eight person dining suite making entertaining a pleasure and there are two separate lounge areas both with wall mounted flat screen TV's. The apartment is extremely family friendly with the separate living areas and a full size kitchen. 3 night minimum stay applies. Corporate rates available for longer stays.

Fantastic Central Apartment in Hobart
Great apartment only minutes to CBD and Docks area. Super clean and warm. The beds were super comfy. Recommend to stay. Only drawback was the steep stairs to the apartment and icy Hobart conditions made them very slippery.

Perfect location & beautifully appointed
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gasworks Apartment. The location is perfect, close to everything. The apartment is quite large and would comfortably suit two couples. The apartment has been fitted out & furnished beautifully, everything has been thought of making our stay enjoyable & carefree. Also, the service when you collect / return keys was friendly and hassle free.

Fabulous apartment and location
We had a fabulous stay at this very well appointed apartment in the historic Gasworks complex in Hobart CBD. The closeness to all the main attractions was a big bonus as was the access to the main motorways for travelling further afield. Top place to stay if you want to explore the south east regions.

Excellent Location
This unit was fantastic. The pictures and description don’t actually do it justice. The unit is huge! It has a separate toilet/powder room as well as a toilet in the bathroom. The two bedrooms both have king size beds (only negative was that they are a little hard), and one of the rooms has a sitting area that has a private space for setting up a sofa bed (which we did for a couple of nights for my 18 year old son. We will definitely be back - walking distance to everything, loads of space and really clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Gasworks greatness
This apartment is conveniently located and has all the amenities we required and then some! This was our return visit and we cannot speak highly enough of our accommodation. It is a spacious and clean apartment within easy walking distance of so many Hobart attractions. We will definitely stay there on our next Hobart visit.

Excellent if you simply want room (2 bedrooms), 2 lounges, cooking facilities and a central location The apartment is located beside a highway into Hobart which makes for a 6am wake-up weekdays and 7am weekends . Secondly the apartment is located up a flight of steel stairs which is precarious for young children and for any individuals with joint/ mobility issues There are no other facilities eg gym etc and all cooking has to be done on site or eat at the adjacent cafes - about 400M away I obviously wasn’t blown away by any particular aspect of the facility but I could see it could work if you wanted to cook and you wanted to accommodate numerous people relatively economically

Great location for a great price
This two bedroom apartment has all the facilities you need for a holidays with friends or family. The kitchen has all the things you need, however could do with a few little touches, like milk ect. The apartment is located walking distance of everywhere you need to go in Hobart. Unless you plan on going places a tour company can’t take you, would not recommend a hire car as the downstairs business owners are not polite about parking there even though you’re entitled to.

Great apartment within walking distance of lots of things to see and do in Hobart: the wharf, Salamanca Place, restaurants and bars, the CBD and botanical gardens. Excellent Family Apartment
For our family of 5 this was a great apartment. Bigger than expected, clean and everything we needed on hand. Separate sleeping and living zones made it ideal for our family and fully equipped kitchen and laundry made our stay most enjoyable. Location was perfect, easy walk into CBD and Aquatic Centre were our kids were competing. Overall an excellent apartment, attentive host and seamless process. Would definitely book again.

Clean, spacious and well equipped apartment in a perfect location close to the docks, restaurants and bars. We stayed 6 nights and loved the property, great to have the bottle shop downstairs, parking was readily available using the permit and there was plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the washer and dryer, everything you need in a clean and very comfortable apartment.

Excellent choice for CBD
Lovely apartment in wonderful location. Across the street from Zero Davey you at next to a stop on the local Hop On Hop Off bus.We just left our car parked in parking lot, only using it to drive up to Mt. Wellington. Excellent host with outstanding communication. Apartment is fitted out nicely with a washer AND dryer....something very useful to a family! Apartment is on top of the liquor store with outside steps....could be problematic for people fearing heights or vision impaired. Yes, there is street noise, but nothing inappropriate to being in the CBD. Otherwise it was perfect for my family of 5. Next time we return to Hobart I will look to stay here.

Amazing apartment.
Lovely apartment that is well located for the harbour area as well as the city and surrounding attractions. The apartment is spotlessly clean and the beds are firm but comfortable. Shung is a pleasure to deal with and could not have been more helpful. Everything you need is supplied in the apartment. We really enjoyed our 3 nights in the apartment. Great value for money.

Fantastic location
Beautifully appointed and very spacious apartment in a lovely character building. It is located close to the centre of the city, a short walk to the restaurants of Victoria Dock and Constitution Dock, Salamanca or city shops. We appreciated the space of the two bedrooms (one has a separate sitting area with sofa and TV), so it was very comfortable, and the two toilets were handy. Everything was there that we needed and it was super clean. Parking on site was easy too. Entry is via an open external staircase, which was fine for us in summer, but could be challenging in wet weather. Overall a great place to stay and we were pleased with our choice. Recommended!

Clean and easy to access plus chromecast
We could not fault the location and the rooms are very clean with everything you could need. Remember there are heaters in the cupboards as well as on the walls. We would definitely stay there again. Parking was convenient but I would warn that the 9/11 bottle shop underneath has way too many good wines so it is a trap. Chromecast was a bonus. Instructions on how to access were clear and easy.

FANTASTIC UNIT IN A GREAT LOCATION
Our family of 4 recently spent 7 days in Hobart. We arrived 9.30 am on the day of check-in. I called the property manager Mr Wong to see if we could check in earlier than 2pm. He was fantastic and told us that we could check-in right away as no one was in the unit the night before. The unit was spotlessly clean and very well equipt. The beds very comfortable, plenty of hangers in the wardrobes, a 2nd toilet which was great and the kitchen had most things you needed. The waterfront is only a stones throw away as is the town center. Plenty of places to grab a lovely seafood treat/ meal close by. It was a little noisy as other reviewers have mentioned, but it goes with the location. We enjoyed our stay in Hobart at the Gasworks Apartment and hope to return some time in the future.

Very spacious comfortable apartment, good location
The apartment is much larger than it appears in the photos and is very well furnished and equipped (though more than two people might find the lack of armchairs in the main living room a restriction - there is only one couch). The location was excellent for accessing the Australian Wooden Boat Festival, which was the purpose of our visit. The bottleshop next door was also a bonus. The outside staircase is quite steep but manageable and the degree of privacy inside the unit was very welcome. There was a bit of traffic noise but that goes with the location. We would certainly stay there again, especially if we were travelling with friends. We didn't have a car until our day of departure, when we collected one from Avis a few hundred metres away, then returned to pick up our bags. Therefore, we didn't have any of the parking problems mentioned by other people.

Great property but not the one in the main photo
We did not know Hobart when we booked but we thought this apartment was on the water (based on the first photo you see on the ad). It isn't and while it is a great central location, it is extremely busy. We arrived on a Friday at 5.15pm and this location was so busy (due to the bottle shop and Hogs Breath cafe on the same site) that we couldn't find a park anywhere in the grounds. We also had a bike trailer on and this was not an ok location for a trailer. Eventually we were able to park our car but we found this location loud, very busy (until very late in the evening) and hard to park at all weekend. It was also more difficult with our kids (aged 3, 6 and 8) than we had hoped given the heavy traffic and steep staircase. On the plus side, the apartment was extremely well set up, spacious and clean. The linen and towels etc were a high quality and the kitchen was very usable for cooking. There was heaps of space for us and the kids to relax after walking around town. All this place is missing is an outdoor balcony and a designated car space.

Great apartment, great location
The apartment is very large and well equipped - perfect for us and our 7 month old. The service was outstanding and they accommodated all our needs. The location is fantastic although there can be a little noise at times from nearby traffic but this didn't bother us too much. Highly recommended.
