Charming, dog-friendly, and close to nature, this Sautee Nacoochee cabin has a screened-in deck, hot tub, seasonal wood-burning fireplace, and jetted tub for your enjoyment.

This custom-built log cabin is near the Bavarian-inspired small town of Helen. There's plenty of outdoor fun nearby, with Unicoi State Park only a few miles away, and the home is surrounded by sweet-smelling trees.

Watch a movie on the flatscreen TV while a fire burns in the seasonal fireplace, then look up a recipe on the WiFi and head to the fully equipped kitchen to prepare it. There's a dishwasher and a gas grill outside on the screened-in deck. After dinner, a long soak in the private hot tub is just what the doctor ordered.

A single bedroom with a king bed makes this the ideal little nest for two guests (and,, up to two canine companions). A heart-shaped jetted tub offers an extra touch of romance.

When we arrived we were given a door code, it actually came in an email. The code did not work. We left the cabin 3 times to find cell service and call the company. Each code was wrong. Finally someone called us with the correct code. I requested someone to meet us and open the door, that didn’t happen. The cabin has roaches, we made the housekeeping staff aware when we drove our trash to their office to put into the dumpster on the morning we lefts Take your own soaps. Both pump bottles were watered down so much you could tell if it had soap in it. Take your own towels and washcloths, the ones there feel like sandpaper.

The house itself is fine to stay in. But it was very dirty. Bugs everywhere. Dirty dishes in the cabinets. Bugs in the fridge. The hot tub was halfway broken, no step to get in and out either. The fire place you couldn’t shut the metal curtains on it they were broken and the glass wasn’t even in it, it was a fire hazard. It’s like no one came to clean just change the sheets and drop off towels. But location was good. I can go on but there would be no point. I didn’t want to stay but had no choice since we drive all the way from N.C. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Quiet and clean retreat

We loved the hot tub, the kitchen and the screened in back porch. The bathroom with all basic plumbing needs plus a huge indoor jetted tub is a nice bonus. Nice retreat!

This cabin is in a good location. The description on this website needs to be updated as there is no cable. The cabin needs a major upgrade to all applinces and the air conditional window unit has mold. I will not ever stay at this place again.

Wonderful stay

My partner and I spent the week here. It was the mountain escape that we were wanting and it met all of our needs. If I were to nit pick, I would agree with some of the other reviews that it could’ve been a little cleaner. The hot tub was a little slippery with grime and there was a layer of dust on areas you wouldn’t think to clean every time (e.g lamps and shelves) but overall we enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Romantic and Cozy

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday adventuring in nearby Helen and absolutely loved it. The tv on a swivel idea to suit both spaces of the studio is brilliant. The heart shaped jet tub was so romantic and so was the hot tub on the balcony. The space is very well thought out for being a smaller home. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean upon arrival. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back here in the future.

Not What I Expected

While I liked the quiet area we were at, I didn’t like this cabin. The appliances were all old and rusted. The fridge, stove and dishwasher were completely outdated, the fridge had a busted door on the inside and rust all around it. They looked to be about 20 to 30 years old. No kidding. The pictures are completely misleading. The stove top had not been cleaned. I took pictures when I got there. The red heart shaped tub looked like it had been wiped with a greasy looking cloth. I didn’t use it either. The shower had absolutely no pressure. I have long hair and I could barely get the shampoo out of my hair. It took forever. But at least the hot water held out because it was barely coming through the outdated shower head. The tv had advertised satellite/cable but actually had more apps than cable to watch. If you have personal passwords to use for the better apps you would have decent options. But if you have to use the free apps as we did, you are out of luck. We were stuck inside for two of our three days there, and trying to find something to watch was painful. The tv also took a solid minute to switch when you would mash control buttons. It was miserable and upsetting to say the least. I’ve stayed with Vacasa before and it was pleasant, but this cabin owner desperately needs to update or stop renting. My trip was not pleasant there at all. VRBO has always been a great place to rent through too, but someone needs to check this cabin for standards.

to have a cabin high up in the mountains of georgia is such a beautiful experience. the cabin is neat and clean. everything you need is accomodated for. for a nice quiet solitude surrounded by trees, this is the perfect place to be. thank you I love it here

Lovely apartment

We were warned on check in that there was an issue with the plumbing and that a plumber was coming the next day. Turns out it was human error and we let them know there was no issue and cancelled the plumber. Loved the BBQ on the deck. Great kitchen set up. Only gripe would be the lighting in the bedroom was too dim for us. Jaccuzzi was lovely after skiing. Great location, off a main road but not noisy, so when it snowed the roads were clear. Supermarket close by. Love the Tahoe area.

Spend your money elsewhere.

Didn't love it. Heater broken, heart jacuzzi with a lot of leaking and water damage, bed was horrible- I mean horrible, dangerous outlets/powers strips with obvious fire/burn damage, no follow up by company from early checkout due to discomfort, and annoyance. Very let down with the experience.

it was quiet, but the place was dirty, rugs fillthy, bed lumpy, no blankets, thin sheets, refrigerator old , rusting , falling apart with ice all over the freezer, and dangerous getting to your place, road should have red reflectors. photos are misleading thought there was a bedroom, and the worst...yellow jackets, large ones buzzing around like there's a nest up there, we killed a few and have a photo, musty, smell probably mold, and furniture very old...t.v. when out several times...and the last day we paid for we left...couldn'[t stand it...we want a refund on the last day. Its too bad we love the are and plan to come back . Note if I don't get the one day refund back, we would do, what you would do under the same circumstances . Oh...view you displayed...misrepresnted...no view.

Great little cabin

Amazing cabin for us as a couple. Super cozy, fireplace, outdoor hot tub with a wooded private view. Heart-shaped indoor tub. Couldn’t ask for more. About 10 minute drive to Helen. Only thing I would note is the parking, small single parking space for a compact car. Otherwise there is a larger space down the slope to the left. All-in-all it was a great stay.

No A/C in Late July...

A/C went out during the night our 1st night there. It was the 3rd weekend of July 2022; record high temps. Late the following morning 2 contractors came to look at the A/C and said it couldn't be fixed. They called the manager, Leslie, and told her that we had no A/C. We received a phone call with an offer to comp us $100 of the $712.00 we paid for 2 nights, and to bring us 2 fans. I explained that was insufficient due to the fact we were paying @$360/night, and we only had A/C for half a night, and it was late July during a record hot year. The manager authorized a $200 comp and said that was the best they would do. All their properties were 100% booked at peak rates, and they refused to comp us just one night's stay for a cabin with no A/C. (A/C is advertised as an amenity by the way.) In my opinion this transcends poor customer service and borders on outright hostility. In addition to the decrepit A/C unit going out, the gas grill featured 1.5 functioning burners out of 3, and the hot tub had foam in it that looked like dirty soap suds. I fear that if you rent from this outfit, there's no telling what you're going to find when you get to your cabin, and even if it's 95° in there all night, you're still going to pay almost full price for your stay. Writing this review makes me sad, as I've been staying in these cabins for years, and remember what it was like before "Vacasa" acquired it. So, unfortunately; "Buyer beware."

Fully expected there to be some updates to items that are from over a year ago on previous reviews. Mattress needs to be replaced, bathroom door will not shut all the way. The wood towel holders and toothbrush holders should be replaced, they are old and nasty looking. Parking is not great but not sure there’s really anything that can be done for that.
