We had a great time in the house and enjoyed the game room! We loved the downstairs bathroom and the kids really enjoyed having their own, cozy rooms. Thanks for the hospitality.
We needed to stay in the area for a sporting event and unfortunately/fortunately there aren’t really any good hotel options.
This house was PERFECT! It was clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed. M
We were barely there and all wish our schedule had allowed more time at the house. Very comfortable and made for a great stay!
Host was everything you would hope for/ communicative and well organized but in this case- was also very thoughtful too!
Our family loved staying here while we were in town for a wedding. It’s the perfect spot to keep young kids relaxed and happy. Jennifer is an amazing and gracious hostess. Thank you so much!
Beautiful and peaceful area of Connecticut in Litchfield County. Pool for those days when you just want to hang out at the house, and plenty of activities within a half hour for those days you want to explore. Just minutes from March Farms to supply your food needs and to watch the goats and ducks or play in the nearby playground for the kids. Four bedrooms on second floor, all with windows and comfortable beds. Two and a half bathrooms. We called it the House of Games, everything you ever wanted to play including Skeeball! Even rainy days were busy.
The home was perfect for our family getaway with our friends and their family. The game room was absolutely perfect for our kids, ages 5-11. The home is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would love to come back and enjoy the home in the summer too!
Welcoming home nestled in scenic Litchfield county
We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s home. The house was warm and inviting, with cozy bedrooms, beds, a great deck & pool, and everything you could think to need. We had gorgeous weather and were able to sit outside on the patio, as well as take a swim in the heated swimming pool. Some of my friends said it was their best night of sleep in a while after sleeping in the comfy and cozy beds. Jennifer was super communicative throughout the entire weekend and answered any question that I had. I highly recommend this location for any families, or friends looking for a relaxing and cozy stay. The house is also perfectly located next to many wineries and we were able to do a wine tour of nearby wineries in the Litchfield area. I hope we will be back in the future!
This experience was definitely one we will remember. With all the fun and well decorated rooms, this house is perfect for children and adults. The yard is spacious and beautiful. The game room is cozy and fun. Everything about this house is great.
I recently stayed here with my family for my son’s birthday and we loved it! The home has everything you would want for a family trip. It was clean and the decor was very nice. My son loved the pool and the large yard. There is a game room as an added bonus. We would highly recommend it!
What a great ski trip to Mohawk Mountain! We arrived Friday night, and my children ages 6, 9, 11 loved the skee ball and football while we unpacked and relaxed! Saturday we went skiing all day! We highly recommend the lessons! Saturday night was nice crackling fire in the fireplace and a great family dinner in the dining room. We played a few games too! Every child had their own bedroom and we love that the house is gray for boys and girls! The nerf toys are always a plus! We are rested and happy and will come again as this is our second trip.
We have travelled all over the world from hiking in the Swiss Alps to boating in the Niagara Falls cascades. This four day trip from 1/2-1/4 was the best vacation we have ever had for our children ages 6, 8, 11. Each child had their own bedroom which were gorgeous like better than Pottery Barn Kids. My kids felt like their bedrooms were just for them. The girls’ room or the pink room has a dollhouse, fabulous books and toys for imaginative play, and unstructured play like dress ups and dolls neatly organized in baskets. The boy room had fabulous boy toys and games and nerf ball guns. If adults only stayed here, the rooms look so neat and clean you could feel like it’s not a child’s room too. The bathroom was fully stocked w luxurious soaps and shampoos. I loved the floor plan where the bedrooms are all on the second floor. The first floor had a fabulous floor plan. We had a fire on Saturday morning in the windowed living room. I loved all the windows n every room. They had set us up for success and had a kindling basket and a newspaper basket and a firewood basket. Anyone could build a fire there as their entire home was user friendly. The first floor has a very happy game room that is so so family friendly. My 6 year old could easily play all the games which was so so nice for us all that everything in the room was toys that all my kids could use easily: Skee ball, ice hockey, pool, board games, and foosball! We are in the dining room every night which was easy distance to the kitchen so our kids could clear the table every night easily and the counter tops were so long that our children could do dishes easily. This is a great home for children to help parents and learn how to be a family working together. The eat in kitchen was wonderful and we used the table to decorate cookies w easy wipe up. The driveway is every boys’ dream. It’s flat and perfect for biking. Both my younger kids biked in the driveway and they ran around the house throwing snowballs and playing in the snow. The yard is amazing and there’s so many windows you can see your children from any room. What we loved the most was reading by the fire and watching a movie all of us on that fabulous large couch w all those nice blankets in those adorable baskets. The beds were brand new, the home was clean. The laundry and dryer worked great as well. We highly recommend Mohawk Mountain Skiing - the group lessons were amazing- and Fox Equestrian for family horseback lessons.
