Donna and Carl presented a very clean and neat cottage on arrival. Everything needed that we required. The two queen beds extremely comfortable. Reverse cycle split system in main area and ceiling fans in bedrooms. They also have two adorable pooches Baz and Bob (so if you’re dog lovers) you’ll be in your element, though they don’t have to be around you (if you’re not). Bob likes you to throw the ball and could keep this up for hours if you let him. The area was perfect, coming from Melb Vic, we were only woken to the sounds of birds. A two minute walk down to the Jamieson river, where you can sit by the banks and let your mind wander as you listen and watch the water flowing over the rocks. The town itself consists of a cafe, a pub with reasonable meals and a post office, so take bits and pieces with you or it’s a drive to Mansfield (about 40 mins) for your shopping needs. For those who simply want to enjoy leisurely walks, learning history of the town as you go, or try fishing from the river, then this is the ideal spot for you.
Jamieson is my go to get away and Perkins Place did not disapoint. The owners are lovely. The cottage was sparkling clean. I will be staying here again.Highly reccomend
Great accommodation with a great location and friendly hosts. Accommodation is great for those traveling with furry friends. Hosts are super friendly accommodating to those traveling with pets.
Our whole stay was 5 star from the moment we arrived
Carl, Donna and there 2 dogs Bob and Baz were amazing hosts so lucky we choose this beautiful property.
spotlessly clean and well equipped we truly loved our stay and made great friends.
be back next year.
We were only there a short time. The property is in a great location, and it was cozy. Carl was a considerate host; he even ran down with an umbrella for us when it started to rain.
We will recommend Tulip Cottage to anyone who is thinking of staying here.
Carl and Donna are amazing hosts and the cottage was so comfortable and welcoming.
We will definitely book here again.
The property was exactly as described. Cozy, well maintained space with two comfortable bedrooms, clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen.
However, the lack of heating was a bit of a drawback. The house had only one AC unit for heating, located in the kitchen, which was insufficient for warming the bedrooms. It would be a significant improvement to have additional heaters in the bedrooms to enhance comfort during colder months.
The host was incredibly welcoming too. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to stay, though addressing the heating issue would make it even better..
Lovely place to stay and explore from. A split system control instructions would be all you need. But when asked the host was there within minutes to assist. Thanks.
