About this property

BACK AT THE BEACH is located directly behind the dunes of Kirby's Beach. The beach is literally less than 100 steps through a private track from the back of our place. The house is an ideal beach cottage - light, bright and clean. The loungeroom features a smart TV, Blueray & sound bar, a huge comfy lounge and a globurn fireplace for cozy winter nights. We also have an airconditioner for warmer nights or for those with small children. Two of the bedrooms have queen sized beds and bedside tables, with lots of storage space. We provide 1000TC sheets, towels and beach towels for your comfort during your stay. The middle room has a single bed and a futon couch, Smart TV and games - everything you could want for the kids to chill out. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need for your holiday. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, heater, hairdryer and a first aid kit. There is a laundry with a front loader washing machine and dryer with laundry detergent, washing basket, pegs and clothes line provided. We provide a set of boules, football, tennis ball & vortex ball for you to play with in either our huge backyard or on the beach. You can also borrow our 2 mini mal 'ezi rider', bodyboard or 2 kayaks to use during your stay - but this is at your own risk :). There is a firepit in the backyard with chairs to sit around and chat after a day at the beach or exploring everything that our region has to offer. Whales visit our beach on their annual migration up and down the coast. The photos on the wall are taken of them playing just behind the breaking waves on their last visit. We provide a set of binoculars to help you spot them. There is so much to see and do in our region - waterskiing, wakeboarding or paddle boarding on Swan Lake, paddling up Berrara creek on kayaks, beach fishing, diving, surfing, long beach walks, bushwalks, mountain climbing, whalewatching, or visiting the local townships around our area for great food and wine. BACK AT THE BEACH really has it all for your stay. Slice of paradise

Loved the house which had everything we needed (including some Xmas decorations!), Matt and Fiona were super responsive for check in and any queries, and the little track down to the stunning beach was really handy. Wanted to stay longer and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Small but quaint

Relaxing, comfy, well equipped, right on the beach. Rather expensive for a small house, but everything supplied, including sheets and towels. The kayaks were a hit. Surfboards also supplied.

Our stay was really lovely. House size and amenities were suitable for a family stay. House location just by the beach made a trip with young kids really easy. Easy access to the outdoor shower was a great.

We Love it!

Is a really nice place and Matt was a very helpful person! we enjoy so much the beach that is in front of the house and the fire place to spend the afternoon! We are going to come back for sure!!

Great holiday

Their property was clean, bright, luxurious and the location was fantastic, quiet and sheltered. The beach was a beautiful, natural private beach. Jeff and Matt were extremely helpful and respected our privacy.

Home away from home

Great location, and very nice facilities

We very much enjoyed our short stay and hosts attention to detail. Great location with a very short walk over the dunes to the beach. The accommodation a little on the cosy side for a larger family but the deck, storage and rear yard more than make up for it. We will most certainly be back.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Clean and organised house with wonderful outdoor fire

The house was perfect for our week away. Fiona and Matt have thought of everything and are very friendly and welcoming. We loved walking on the beach and rock shelf, bird watching, toasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire, having dinner by the indoor fire and generally a very relaxing stress free week. The house is exceptionally clean and well organised.

Nicely restored beachside cottage

Above expectations

We stayed with our two children, 10 and 8 for 2 nights. The place was very suitable and really well equipped. It had a homely feel to it but the decor was modern. Most importantly for me, it was clean! Thanks Fiona and Matt for your well informed and hospitable rental :-)

Fabulous property with great hosts

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, house is modern, super clean and nicely furnished, with everything you could need in the cupboards. Impressed our UK guests with the beaches, kangaroos and dolphins. Loved the short track to the beach and outdoor shower. Nearby Berrara Creek great for swimming with kids. Matt and Fiona were very welcoming, made themselves available for anything we could need/want. Great quiet spot, would love to come back for longer!

A little piece of paradise!

We spent 5 sleeps here & the comment our 9 year old made on our departure was "just on more sleep mum !" This was less than 100 steps to the beach, a perfect summer retreat with kangaroo visits, kookaburras and the constant chorus of cicadas reminded us we were away from suburbia. Our hosts attention to detail made our stay that much more comfortable; welcome hamper, linen, bath & beach towels, first aid kit, coffee machine - with pods ! I hope to visit again.
