About this property

Little Finchley B&B - pet friendly (20mins to Jervis Bay)

Little Finchley is self-contained with small sitting room, separate QS bedded room, and full bathroom (NOTE: shower over bath). The unit has a private entrance off an enclosed (marine wire) sheltered and gated deck which includes outdoor seating and BBQ. We are situated in a pretty, tranquil, rural setting of lightly treed land overlooking a large dam to the east, and only two minutes from the Princes Highway in Wandandian, half way between Nowra to the North and Milton-Ulladulla to the south. The unit is smaller than our main cottage (refer property listing 9171423), and is best suited to shorter stays, eg travellers who are just stopping overnight in transit, or a couple of nights on a longer journey up or down the coast, or people who will be out most of the time and don't need all the additional amenities or space provided with the main cottage (this smaller unit has no kitchen, and limited catering facilities). The unit includes TV, DVD player, toaster, kettle, small frypan, microwave, crockery, cutlery, some pantry items (coffees - including plunger, teas, toast toppers, oil, condiments etc), and a bar fridge. A fan, portable air conditioner or evaporative cooler are available if required in the hotter months; electric blankets and column heater in winter. Continental breakfast provisions are included in the price, and are negotiated with the guests at time of booking. Guests prepare breakfast for themselves at their convenience. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome, subject to negotiation and advising of breed(s) and age(s) of pets at time of booking. The unit is non-smoking, and is equipped with smoke detectors. A BBQ is also available on the deck, and appropriate tools provided. The rooms are small but comfortable. There is plenty of space for pets to stretch their legs outdoors, and we ask that guests respect the environment and fellow guests, resident hosts and neighbours when staying at Finchley. No parties, no additional guests except by prior negotiation, and please pick up after your dogs.

Absolutely wonderful and tranquil stay. Wonderful hosts who greeted me on arrival and wecomed me in.
Amazing yard spaces for dogs and is completely secured throughout. The rental was immaculately clean with well stocked kitchen cupboards and fridge. The bathroom is stocked with little extras as well as shower needs. Loved the birds coming down for Bronwyn to feed them, and gorgeous horses over another fence and you are able to give them apples and pats. Myself and my Queenie (14 yr old Staffie) will definitely book again without hesitation.

A little piece of paradise
What more could you ask for?! Brownyn and Geoff go above and beyond to make the stay a 'home away from home' experience. Brownyn was a wealth of knowledge and if she didn't know, she made sure she found out - a truly overall lovely person to deal with, one who felt like a friend almost instantly. We were upgraded to the larger unit which was just delightful and so very comfortable. Everything was thought of! Our Brittany Spaniel had a wonderful time exploring the expansive grounds which were completely dog friendly and enclosed. He loved meeting Brownyn's 2 dogs as well. We can't speak more highly of this wonderful piece of paradise! P & B (Canberra)

Finchley B&B was absolutely perfect, with everything we could have wanted for our stay. Bronwyn was an amazing host who had thought out every detail to make sure our stay was comfortable. Our dog, Vinnie, loved going for a big run around the property in the morning, and was kept secure by the fenced backyard area. Our stay was brief but we will definitely be back!

My wife and I and our two dogs had a very enjoyable overnight stay at Little Finchley. It is a perfect setup for two people and a couple of dogs that are "passing through." All the boxes were ticked, and if the chance arises we will stay there again. Thoroughly Recommended.

Little Finchley is compact but a great place for a couple of days with the dogs. Used it as a base to visit friends in the Shoalhaven and have them over for a BBQ. The host is very welcoming

We only stayed at Little Finchley for one night, on our way to the south coast. We enjoyed our stay, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and Bronwyn made us feel very welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed. Such a great spot to stop for a night when you are on the road. It is close to the Princess Highway, however still has this real country feel. The property is very dog friendly, which is great for when you are traveling with a dog, like we were.

Home away from home
Our stay at Finchley B&B was exceptional. Bronwyn was very accomodating especially with our puppy Charlie. There was a generous supply of food/snacks readily available and the unit and surroundings was immaculate. Bronwyn was lovely and personable and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!

We bought the original cottage specifically to set up a B and B, adding on our 2 storey residence, and later on, incorporated Little Finchley (between main guest cottage space and residential extention) which still doubles as our private guest suite when necessary. It is ideal as a smaller option for shorter stays, for single or a couple of through-travellers etc (does not have kitchen facilities), but can also be an extension to the main cottage for larger groups of guests. It's a cosy little home away from home. Pets are also welcome in here, provided that they are over 6 months of age and guaranteed well-behaved and house-trained.

Why they chose this property

We chose this site because of its delightful setting and proximity to many very beautiful attractions in the Jervis Bay area. It is an ideal place to come home to and chill out, at the end of a busy day exploring, doing walking trails, beaches, wineries etc, or even a day trip inland to the lovely Southern Highlands region and Kangaroo Valley etc.

What makes this property unique

We are away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns/villages, while still being very accessible to same (20 - 30 mins from many of Jervis Bay region's favourite attractions), and a peaceful and pretty place to escape to from the big smoke or get a good sleep after a long day's drive, also providing plenty of secure fenced space for pets to safely have a good run around.
