PARKING: 1 reserved car space, easily accessible, underground and secure (approx. 2.0m clearance). Daily visitor parking spots are also available. There is some unrestricted parking on one side of the street and unrestricted overnight parking on the other (1 hour during the day).

WHAT’S IN NORTHCOTE?

If you want to be close to the city, but not in the city, this is the place to stay. Also, the MCG, Melbourne Tennis Centre, city theatres, restaurants and major events are easily accessible by public transport.

Northcote is a typical gentrified area, so it has all the benefits of a great selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and everyday requirements. Nearby suburbs include Brunswick, Thornbury, Ivanhoe, Fitzroy North, Carlton North and Clifton Hill.

With a Walk Score of 89 out of 100 it is ‘very walkable’ so most activities can be accomplished on foot.

Close by in High Street, all your everyday needs are catered for. You will find an interesting selection of colourful shops, cafes, diverse restaurants, an IGA supermarket, AMPOL petrol station, ATMs, bars and pubs, medical and dental services, pharmacies etc. The nearby Northcote Plaza Shopping Centre features ALDI, 2 Coles Supermarkets, grocery, bread, meat, fish, clothing, hairdressing, beauty shops and restaurants.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

This apartment is among the best-served by public transport in Melbourne. 2 Tram lines, 2 railway lines plus bus services. Don’t forget your Myki card.

It is a three-minute walk to the #86 Waterfront City Docklands – Bundoora RMIT tram at the 30-Clarke St/High St (Northcote) stop. This modern tram runs through the Clifton Hill, Fitzroy and Collingwood to Melbourne CBD to the south and Thornbury and Preston to the north.

A tram service also runs along St Georges Road (Route 11), north to Gilbert Road, and south through Fitzroy North and Fitzroy to Collins Street in the city. Northcote has five railway stations along two lines. The South Morang Line serves Merri Station, Northcote Station and Croxton Station. The Hurstbridge Line serves Westgarth Station and Dennis Station. The closest train station is Merri a 10 min walk from the apartment and an easy train ride to the city.

GETTING THERE
The easiest way to get to Northcote Hill Penthouse from anywhere is get a taxi, Uber or Ola ride; including from Tullamarine Airport.Alternative transport from the airport is also relatively easy; take the Skybus from outside the airport terminal to Southern Cross train station in downtown Melbourne, then hop on the Hurstbridge train on Platform 9, and get off at Westgarth Railway Station. Walk back to Westgarth ST and turn right, then get on the Tram 86 to Plenty Rd going up the hill, and get off before the top of the hill at Clarke St. Your apartment is 3 minutes walk from there. Just turn left on to Campbell Grove, just past the service station on the corner.

PET FRIENDLY
Yes we accept pets subject to our pet stay conditions (see our terms).  There are many leash free parks in the area and the nearest is Lagoon Reserve. There is also a dog beach at the end of Bay Street.

Pets must be declared on the booking and a pet stay fee of $135 (base rate) plus $5 per night per pet will be applied.
