The iron and ironing board are both found in the hallway cupboard.

There are a plethora of public transport options available within a stone's throw from the front gate. Among these options is the 96 tram from the bottom of Acland Street which takes you straight to the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Numerous tram and bus stops as well as a nearby train station ensure you can get wherever you need.

In order to travel on public transport, you will need a Myki card which can be purchased from supporting stores such as local news agencies or at train stations. We recommended using Google Maps or downloading the Moovit app to your smartphone which provides detailed information on how to get from A to B.

For those that love Uber (who doesn’t), St Kilda is a hot spot for Uber driver’s and in turn you’ll never wait too long for a pickup.

If you’ve got a car, the adjacent Mitchell Street has all day parking and is within 50m to 100m of the apartment depending on where you land a spot.

PARKING

For those with a car, there is only 2 hour parking available on Foster St where the apartment is located. There is however 24 hour parking on Blessington St which is 200m from the apartment depending on where you land a spot!

GETTING THERE

There are numerous public transport options available to get to the apartment. To find the best way via tram, train, bus or Uber, we recommend entering the address into Google Maps.

If you are arriving at Melbourne Airport and would like to take public transport right to the door, this is indeed possible! First you will need to catch the Skybus from the airport (tickets can be purchased online or at the airport) to Southern Cross station.

Once you arrive at Southern Cross, head to tram Stop 122 (Southern Cross Railway Station/Spencer St, Melbourne) and take the Route 96 tram towards St Kilda Beach via City. You will be on the tram for around 30 minutes before getting off at the last stop 139 (Belford St/Acland St, St Kilda).

You then have 5 minute walk and you are there:

- Turn left at Barkly St for approx 300m
- Turn right at Carlisle St and walk 60m
- Turn slight right at Foster St for about 70m

Perfect place to stay for a trip to Melbourne. Botanic Gardens at one end of the street, the famous Acland St only a block away, trams close by.... The flat itself was spotless, funky, comfortable, quiet and warm. A definite favourite!

Great location with loads of charm
Our stay in St Kilda was amazing! The apartment has loads of charm, and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The size was perfect for our family of 4, and is very kid-friendly. The location is a short walk to the restaurants, shops, grocery store, and the beach. There is also a tram stop one block away which provides easy access to downtown Melbourne. The street is not busy, and the apartment is very quiet for a good nights sleep. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating, and I highly recommend!

Like most, we love travelling and always wish there was more time to do so! Having spent 6 months living in Mykonos back in 2010, we then spent the next few years in London travelling to as many European destinations that our budget would allow.

In 2013 we moved back to Australia and after welcoming our daughter Grace into the world in 2015 and Tommy in 2017, our holidays are certainly going to take a change of pace for the next few years ;)

If we are fortunate enough to host you at our property, we hope you feel instantly at home and have everything you need to ensure the perfect short stay.

Carpe diem!

Why they chose this property

St Kilda is Melbourne's primary beachside location to immerse yourself in everything this incredible city has to offer. With everything you'd need to see or visit during your Melbourne stay within 15-20 mins of your doorstep, there's no need to look any further than our Foster Street apartment!

What makes this property unique

We were drawn to the recent renovation that removed the divide between kitchen and living, to make it one open room. Along with large bedrooms, ample storage and a new bathroom (with a monsoon shower), it's impossible to go past the quiet block in incredibly proximity to the energetic St Kilda!
