ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Idyllic rural setting, spectacular views, proximity to Berry and beautifully furnished - Rivendell is the perfect place to spend a weekend... or a week!

An ideal getaway for families, groups and couples. Rivendell is the perfect accommodation for guests attending weddings at Jaspers Berry, Eleven Eighty Weddings, Willow Farm, Coolangatta Estate and Figbird Cottage.

The moment you enter Rivendell's gates, you are welcomed through a stunning tree-lined driveway leading into an 11 acre private sanctuary with established park-like gardens and resident sheep and alpacas.

The Main House and adjoining Courtyard Studio offer 5 comfortable bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, open living spaces with high cathedral ceilings and modern luxury furnishings.

Located only 10 minutes from Berry, wineries, cafes and restaurants, as well as popular wedding venues in the region, the property is also 15 minutes to the amenities of Nowra and within close proximity to the pristine beaches of the South Coast.

PLEASE NOTE

Weekend bookings must include both Friday and Saturday nights.

Rivendell comfortably caters for 10 adults, however we do permit a maximum of 12 adults to stay on the property. The 11th and 12th guest are accommodated on a day bed which converts to a king bed in the TV Nook which is a common space amongst the bedrooms in the Main House. Please refer to our floorplan and photos.

Our infrastructure does not support more than 12 guests, therefore additional guests are not permitted.

The property is not a wedding venue nor an event space. Please do not enquire as we do not make any exceptions.

Pets are also not permitted, please do not enquire about accomodating pets as no exceptions will be made. There is a search filter for pet-friendly properties.

THE AREA

Rolling green hills, heritage buildings, friendly people. Berry has all the hallmarks of an historic country town – only better. With award-winning restaurants, sophisticated shopping, homewares stores and a wide range of activities on offer, Berry is the perfect blend of village charm and city style.

Only two hours’ drive from Sydney’s CBD, it is ideally located for a weekend getaway or a relaxing country holiday.

GETTING AROUND

We are located a short, 10 minute drive from Berry township and 15 minutes from the amenities of Nowra.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests are welcome to explore the property, however if any gates are opened they must be closed immediately. The peace and well being of our sheep, alpacas, visiting wildlife and neighbours must be respected at all times.

We have a strict policy relating to functions, weddings and parties.

No more than 12 guests are permitted on the property.

We had a group of 10 people stay at this property and it was fantastic. A beautiful and well equipped house - we made great use of the pool. Lots of different options for outdoor seating with the most divine views from every aspect. It was so peaceful and relaxing that I only regret not staying for a full week.

Rivendell is in an ideal location, providing the quietness of a country hideaway, yet close to townships if you need it. Beautiful views, lovely gardens, friendly furry, feathered and woolly neighbours, plenty of room for kids to run around, inviting swimming pool, fire pit for toasting marshmallows - what more could you ask for. Just about all the comforts of home were available. Couldn't fault it! Great hosts too! Would love to go back!

Great weekend away on an amazing property
We had a great trip away with our family! The place was clean, cozy, and stylish - felt like home right away. The hosts were super friendly, responsive and helpful, making my stay even better. Perfect location, close to everything but wow, so peaceful. The property had everything we needed so we never felt we had to leave. The views are picture perfect from the front garden. The Perfect Getaway
Nestled into the rolling hills of Berry this is THE PERFECT getaway house. Such nice finishes. Felt very homey. Perfect kitchen for cooking for lots of people - they have everything you need. Marooned in the Meadow
All of us (8 adults and 2 young children) enjoyed our two night stay in the stunning hills of Meroo Meadow. From taking in the view by the pool to sitting by the fire pit at night, catching a star or two. The kids loved visiting the alpacas and their friends and also a quick visit by a kangaroo. The hospitality shown by the owners was exceptional and the property exceeded all of our expectations.

Family week in summer
3 generations of one family, 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 6 to 13), plus one extra adult for some of the time, comfortably accommodated. The place is beautiful, well situated and very well equipped - cooking for 10 every night and almost nothing necessary not supplied. Pool was great for the kids and garden and view magnificent. We were not especially lucky with the weather or the week would have been even better. Thoroughly recommend Rivendell.

Our Stay At Rivendell
Just returned from our 3 night stay. We all enjoyed it so much we did not want to leave. It is a Lovely House well furnished and everything you need is supplied. We loved the fire pit and the indoor fire. My granddaughter spent a lot of the time on the swing. The 2 cheeky sheep came to visit and they were so funny eating the grass and joining in. Hope to return for another stay in the future.

Brilliant accomodation, great for our family celebration.
We had a wonderful three days with our family. The kitchen had everything we required to cook our Christmas lunch. The generous space meant we could all chip in. The large indoor and outdoor tables were ideal. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed and the out door space clean and inviting. Even with the surrounding fires and resulting smoke haze, the view was fabulous.

The South Coast is such a beautiful part of NSW and easily accessible from Sydney and Canberra. We love the lush landscapes and rolling hills of the Berry region with wineries and pristine beaches only short drive away, along with historic Berry and the amenities of Nowra.

What makes this property unique

Rivendell is extremely private and provides the perfect sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. A weekend here feels like a week. We love waking up to sounds of birds and farm animals and enjoying the breathtaking views over a glass of wine or unwinding in front of the fire.
