About this property

Tallgums Hideaway - family beach retreat

Tallgums hideaway is a charming cedar cottage close to Broulee Beach and the Tomaga river.

It has 2 double bedrooms (one double and one queen bed) and two lofts with two single beds in each. Lofts are accessed by ladders and are suitable for children over the age of seven or adults without mobility problems.

Pillows and doonas are provided but you need to bring your own sheets, pillowslips, towels (being older owners, we need to be careful of Covid).
The bathroom has a shower, toilet, basin and also laundry sink and a small washing machine.
The kitchen has refrigerator, oven, microwave and a full complement of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment and cooling air conditioning and separate electric heating.

On site parking will accommodate 2 cars.

The cottage is surrounded by a natural garden of spotted gums and cycads.
Walk to the Tomaga river in 5 minutes or to Broulee beach in 15 minutes (5 minutes by car).

Note: the property is available for a minimum of two days.

Lovely cabin in the trees
We had such a lovely weekend in this beautifully set up little house. So many little things were so well thought out. It was quiet and cool in the hot days and easy access to the beach and river. Thanks so much for the stay, and we really appreciated the late check out too.

We had a lovely week at Tallgums Cottage - such a cute cozy cottage, comfortable, great fenced yard for the dog, close walk to the river and short drive to the beach.Good location, super quiet.Would stay again and recommend to friends.It’s not luxe, but it’s comfortable and had everything you need.Lofts were a hit with the kids

The house was setup nice and a good lay out, the yard was a little overgrown and not well maintained fences are not great especially for tenants with pets.Overall good experience!

The property was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Very quiet and cozy.Only downside was the fly screen front door didn't close properly so couldn't keep front door open as mozzies came in.

Lovely rustic cottage with everything you need to leave the pace of city life behind! Amazing use of space. Excellent communication from the host when we needed to contact; check in was easy. Comfy bed and plenty of kitchen basic supplies. Close to Mossy cafe for excellent coffee and local walks.

The property suited our needs, especially being able to bring our dogs. The front screen door needs to be repaired as it does not latch, letting insects in and the dogs were able to get out. Some cob-webbing of the ceiling in the bedroom, left of the front door,would add to the overall clean appearance.

Great stay. Some upstairs area is hard to clean due to ceiling. Stairs not suitable for one of my family members, but others were fine. Double beds downstairs were great. A drier would have been perfect and appreciated as we wet weather. Otherwise we'll provisioned and as described.

I was very impressed with the house, loved the lofts and included bits and pieces. The soap smelt sooo nice. The yard was huge. Id stay here again.
