About this property

Silverwood House- A luxury country escape

In Woodend, the gateway to the Macedon Ranges, a unique experience awaits the traveller. The newly renovated and furnished SILVERWOOD HOUSE in Noonan Grove is akin to a breath of fresh air. Individually appointed rooms reflect the stylish, timeless interiors that CAPOCCHI, the celebrated High Street Armadale design store, is renowned for. Expect to encounter an eclectic, comfortable and inspiring home away from home, with easy flowing living and sleeping spaces.

As the visitor enters the light filled house they will find two separate entertaining areas to each side of the central hall, to the right is a unique games room featuring a rare ‘French Bébé Foosball’ machine, an original table soccer game from a café or games arcade, dating from the Art Deco period. Board games and a small library selection will keep you well entertained. Turn left and you’ll find yourself in the main sitting room, the feature field stone walls glowing, and furnished with vintage European leather chesterfield sofas and decorations, redefining the notion of style in a country residence. Additional warmth and atmosphere is provided by the installed slow combustion heater. Television and a Yamaha music cast complete all your requirements.

Through to the spacious, comfortable country kitchen, fully equipped to cater for eight house guests, furnished with an earthy, antique dining table, surrounded with vintage chairs, overlooked by an early European country dresser. A Nescafé coffee machine, tea, sugar, oil , salt and pepper are provided as a start up pantry.

The French doors open onto the secluded, walled rear courtyard, with outdoor dining and BBQ facilities. The newly planted garden, designed by local garden architect Gary George, promises to mature into a wonderful green oasis.

SILVERWOOD HOUSE offers four distinct sleeping zones, two king size rooms and two queen size rooms, each with its own dedicated private bath room. Beds are comfortable dressed with a choice of soft or firm pillows. The colourful textures and layers heralding a cheerful playfulness, no stiff formalities for this house!

In addition you’ll find a fully equipped laundry with washing machine, dryer, iron and board. An efficient gas central heating system will keep the house cosy throughout on cooler nights and winter days.

Secure undercover parking for two cars and off street parking on the property for at least another two cars is provided.

Conveniently located just 600 meters from the centre of Woodend town ship and the nearby Tourist Information Centre for the area, and a stone’s throw away from the Woodend station SILVERWOOD HOUSE offers a great base for the myriad of attractions that abound in the Macedon Ranges; restaurants, cafés, wineries, scenery, nature, walks, cycling, shopping, galleries, weekly farmers markets and much more. Hanging Rock, the Memorial Cross at Mt. Macedon, Trentham Falls, Trentham village and historic Kyneton are all just a 15 minute drive away.

This property is offered for a TWO NIGHT minimum stay with maximum accommodation for four couples at $990 per night. Bookings for just the two king size bed rooms and bathrooms, for a two night stay with full use of the remaining house is also available at $590 per night.

Please note that on Macedon Ranges Festival Weekends, Hanging Rock Concerts, etc. we have a whole house only policy, please enquire about our availability with the property manager Terry Kimpton

Christmas Reunion '24
We enjoyed our stay greatly, and Silverwood House afforded us the bedroom/ensuite arrangement that suited our group of 7, well. The proximity to town, shops, and the station are excellent. Communication with the property managers, Liz and Phillip, was always prompt and helpful. We found however, that when catering for a larger group over meals, there were small limitations. All in all a really good stay.

Beautiful house in perfect location
Highly recommend this property. It's in a great location, took us just a few minutes to walk into the town. The house is new, so was in perfect condition when we stayed. Big bedrooms, all with ensuites, and a beautiful kitchen which was well stocked with all the gadgets you need. It has a very large courtyard with a bbq out the back - we didn't use this, but we plan to the next time we stay. We would happily book here again. Owners and caretaker were very friendly and helpful - thank you. (note: we stayed here in Jan 2017, however the website won't let me choose 2017 as an option).

Great property
We had the pleasure of staying at silverwood house. It is a gorgeous property and caters for a large group. Absolute bonus that every room had it’s own bathroom too. Very short walk in to town.

Truly spacious comfortable home in a picturesque location.
Very comfortable and spacious house, easily accommodates a family or group of adults. The four spacious bedrooms have either king or queen beds with lots of robe space. Each bedroom has its own bathoom, three ensuite, one next to a bedroom. This is a welcome but rare amenity. One of the king rooms is huge and easily fits a travel cot and baby needs with room to play on the floor. The kitchen is well provided, although we did miss a large coffee press for our 6 coffee drinkers. Next time we will simply take our own. The Nespresso machine was much appreciated. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, a dishwasher with a large bench for meal preparation, and a large dining table. Comfy lounge area with wood burning fireplace and ducted heating kept us cosy on a cold weekend. There is also a games room with fusball, which was fun. Currently wifi is unavailable and internet coverage patchy which is great for relaxing and tuning out. Liz was prompt in her responses and had the house warmed prior to our arrival. The house is set back from the road and the area was very quiet at all times. The township of Woodend is an easy five minute walk, and can provide groceries, cafes, pub and brewhouse, as well as browsing. The general area of the Macedon Ranges and townships are very close by. Overall, I am happy to recommend this property, which presents as depicted on the website.

Lovely weekend
Silverwood was a beautiful place to stay, and within walking distance to Woodend. Liz had made everything ready for us so that access was simple - and even the fire was laid.
