We are three sisters, all living in different location as far away as Switzerland. Our sister reunion was very special and our accommodation was outstanding. So clean and equipped with everything we needed plus more. The location is perfect as everything is in walking distance.Thank you for an amazing place to gather.
Skippers Watch was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing week by the water. Everything was provided for a fabulous holiday. Great spaces both indoors and out. Fabulously equippen kitchen, excellent fenced yard for our dog and great bbq and outdoor dining facilities overlooking the beautiful Wooli river. Access to kayaks, bikes and fishing gear with a tiny walk to both beach and river made it feel like home away from home. Very relaxed and homey vibe. Could have stayed for months!
A lovely place to stay. Clean accommodation. Close to beach my dogs loved the walks around the neighbourhood. Front yard was fenced for the dogs in a safe secure yard.
Front of the house faces the river and back is right on a beach entrance. Loved the use of kayaks, bikes and tennis rackets. Even though the laundry is communal, I never had to wait for a turn. Super quiet but still central. Plus our doggo loved the huge outdoor area.
Highly recommend!
Great space for the family, dog and kayak. Had a week of rain but still had a great time. Owners are lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. We’ll be back!
Excellent position and good outdoor space to stay with our dog who loved the beach location.

A great place to stay
Skippers Watch is a great little place to stay in the beautiful area of Wooli. It has a great outdoor area overlooking the river, with the beach just a few steps walk on the other side. Family and pet friendly, we would recommend this to others visiting Wooli.

Our family has holidayed in Wooli for over a decade. When the opportunity came up for Cath and I to purchase this small block of holiday apartments we grabbed it. We have spent a lot of time in Wooli, and have become very passionate about this village. Wooli has a calm ambience that resonates with us. We have two children and they have had many adventures here. As a family, we swim in the surf, frolic in the river and tidal lagoon, take boat trips up the river, ride our bikes up to the sea wall, watch out for dolphins and whales, keenly identify the myriad of birds we see, star gaze, watch the moon rise over the water, the sun set, shower outdoors, marvel at other fauna that crosses our paths and appreciate the soothing ambience that Wooli imbues. We have also have been involved in the dune restoration work that has made an amazing impact on the stability of this ecosystem. And we aim to continue to contribute to Wooli. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing about the great times our guests have had while holidaying at Blue River Apartments. The stories we really like to hear are the ones about children's firsts: first fish caught, first solo ride, first wave surfed, and the delight in our guest’s eyes as they relate these stories. These bring back memories of our children’s firsts and one of the reasons we fell in love with this village.
Why they chose this property
Cath & I purchased Blue River Apartments from a second generation ‘Woolinesian’ family who have become very good friends. They have retired but still live in Wooli. Dad, a builder, built this apartment block with his builder son and deliberately built 4 apartments. One apartment was built for each of his children and their families. Through our friendship we have heard of their family’s stories about the early days of Wooli. We bought this property as much for the integrity of the building as for the history it comes with. The shed ,on the side of the building, was relocated from a timber yard up country, where it sheltered the locomotive. Pretty soon, we will attach this to Quarterdeck. This will become a kitchen/ living space. We aim to maintain as much of the character as possible. We have renovated the apartments, as modern living has changed since it was first built, with guest comfort our top priority. We have added outdoor hot cold showers, courtyards, modern conveniences and comforts. We have focused on alfresco holidaying because that’s how we holiday. If its meets our expectations we hope that you too will very happy to create some of your own holiday memories here. Kind regards Cathy & Rod
What makes this property unique
Everything is in walking distance or available via courtesy bus. The beach is 60 meters away and river 20 meters. We have not compromised the standard of our accommodation because we are pet friendly. We provide free WIFI. The apartment has reverse cycle air conditioning complemented by ceiling fans to boost the air flow A free kayak is available for guests. Skipper's Watch is light and airy and decorated in cooling aqua and white to calm the senses and help you get into holiday mode. Surrounded by a national park and a marine park, Wooli has an atmosphere that is removed and distant from our hectic lives. The clean ocean air works at relaxing the mind as much as the soul and that is why we love Wooli.
