Big Horn Rental was very easy to work with from the get-go. They were responsive with my questions. It may have been my oversight, but I did not recall reading anywhere on the listing that we would have to pick up keys in Frisco. Though not far, it's a huge hassle at night, especially with two tired kids. I guess we've been lucky in never having to pick up keys away from where the property is located. Just thought I'd share with anyone who, like me, may not read the full disclosure.
The location of this condo is absolutely wonderful. It's not quite ski in ski out, but it certainly is an easy jaunt to the American Eagle and American Flyer. We did not venture to other villages, but the shuttle was right outside the building, making it a piece of cake. The underground parking was definitely a bonus, but good luck parking large SUVs.
The hot tubs were clean and hot, and with three of them easily reachable, there was not an issue with overcrowding.
The unit itself is certainly dated, but overall clean. There were no "ewww" moments, which is a huge plus. The fireplace was nice and we used it at night to dry our soggy gloves. The main bedroom had a comfy bed, and the bunk beds in the "closet" were only a bit squeaky. The one personal dislike we had was just that the pillows were teeny and very uncomfortable. They did provide one memory foam pillow, which was a tad better, but with the four of us, the pillows made for a tough time sleeping the first few nights until we got adjusted. If you can, bring your own pillows. There were only also comforters in the main bedroom, so the kids would get a bit chilly at night in the bunk beds.
The lighting was also fairly dim, so reading a book may be tough in the living room.
The bathrooms were spacious and the showers had generous water pressure, though again the lighting was dim in our opinion.
We did not make use of the TVs, but they were available, as was a DVD player.
The kitchen had sufficient settings for our family of four, and there was, surprisingly, canola oil, sugar, salt and pepper supplied. The pots and pans were old and scraped, but given we didn't cook much, it wasn't a big deal.
Pros- location, location, location. Reasonable pricing. Comfy beds (except pillows)
Cons- Dim lighting, could use new cookware and some extra comforters.
