About this property

Cosy two bedroom cottage in the centre of Pokolbin

Our cottage is an old style two bedroom weatherboard with a classic covered country style balcony on the Eastern and Northern side and with a recently renovated kitchen, bathroom and a cosy living/dining room to relax and watch TV or chill out after a busy day visiting the local attractions. The location is fantastic being minutes to Hunter Valley Gardens, Hope Estate, Roche and Bimbadgen and right next door to the gorgeous Italian Restaurant Pescara; very central and close if you are attending one of the many concerts in Pokolbin. It is about a five minute drive away from the Vintage Golf Resort & Spa and is surrounded by vineyards, restaurants, cafes and all of the attractions that have made the Hunter Valley Wine Region a favourite for visitors from around the globe.
We offer a very private, relaxing location, a comfortable fully self contained cottage but right in the heart of the action.
The cottage is the only rental accommodation on our property and shares the area up close to McDonalds Road with our fine art gallery, Watershed Gallery

Our stay at this delightful cottage was nothing short of perfect. The cost, beautifully maintained home offered all the comforts we needed, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The true gem, however, was the stunning art museum tucked away at the back!The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. We had a great time at Ron’s property. The location is so convenient, it’s just a short Uber to get around! Ron was super accommodating and flexible with check in, which made a huge difference for us. The property is beautiful, we sat on the deck in the morning and watched the hot air balloons fly! We would definitely stay again.

The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable on beautiful grounds surrounded by birds and wildlife. The location was close to vineyards, restaurants, cafes etc. The host had kindly left a few warm welcome essentials including a bottle of wine which was such a nice gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Cottage. It is so comfortable and has everything one could want. Comfortable bedrooms, big kitchen so well equipped and plenty of space in the living and dining areas. The location was perfect being in the centre of all the action in Pokolbin. Ron was the perfect host and always responded to our requests.

Our stay at this cute and cozy cottage in the Hunter Valley was the perfect weekend escape. It had everything we needed to kick back and feel right at home, with a really laid-back atmosphere. Ron and Lyn were fantastic hosts, and they even stocked the fridge with some welcome treats—such a thoughtful touch! Whether you want to completely unwind or check out all that the Hunter Valley has to offer, this place is the perfect mix. It’s peaceful, charming, and ideally located.

Great getaway location
Just loved our accommodation, loved sitting on the veranda listening to the birds and even saw some kangaroos. Winery across the road we could walk to but otherwise most are a drive / taxi ride away.

We enjoyed 23 wonderful years raising our children, living and working in Collaroy in Sydney but we both felt that the time had come for a change of pace.
Art, wine and the Australian countryside combine in a wonderful way in Pokolbin and we have combined all three with the pleasure of providing accomodation on our 30 acre property in the heart of the vineyards.
Watershed Gallery is adjacent to the cottage and will provide an additional interest for guests visiting the region.
We want to provide an interesting experience for visitors and we are excited to be seeing our vision come to fruition.
