Osterley Cottage - with crisp linen and fluffy towels and special details

Talbingo, with its magnificent mountain and lake views has everything to offer whether you are a fisherman, water or snow skier, a bush-walker; mountain biker, golfer, tennis player or just a person who wants to relax, you have found a perfect holiday destination.

Osterley Cottage is a 3 bedroom cottage comfortably sleeps 6 (3 couples), great for 2 families. We rely on your honesty not to have extra guests above what you booked for. The cottage is located short walking distance to the park, walking trails, the club and shopping centre and Snow Gum Cottage at the corner of street offers further accommodation if holidaying with a bigger group.

We follow recommended enhanced cleaning protocols as per HomeAway with an additional minimum one week between bookings, to achieve this we will communicate with you before accepting your booking dates.

Polished timber floors throughout and comfortable open plan lounge, dining and fully equipped easy care kitchen includes fridge/freezer, dishwasher, sandwich maker. Main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom a double bed with single bunk on top, and third bedroom double bed. Chest of drawers to put bag on and to unpack into. Bed linen and bath towels are supplied and included on booking quote.

Reverse cycle air-conditioning in lounge and pedestal fans in bedrooms, gas heater during winter months. Outdoor portable BBQ and outdoor table and chairs on verandah or you move to under shade of trees. TV in all bedrooms a DVD in bedroom 3 plus smart TV in lounge. Ample space for off street parking suitable for boats etc. in fenced yard. We drive in and turn around in back yard rather than backing in.

Coffee machine - takes Caffitaly pods which are available at Woolworths stores, there are introductory pods available.

Bathroom, laundry and toilet newly renovated, shower with rain head and hand held and a second separate toilet. Includes underfloor heating and heated towel rail.

Telstra 4G service only in the Talbingo area, always check with your mobile phone provider and also use the “live traffic” app when travelling in rural areas. Fuel station in Talbingo currently open from 9am to 5.30pm.

Strictly no pets.

There are additional per day charges for extra guests over 4 people.

Well equipped laundry with wash machine, dryer and large sink suitable for baby bath, clothes airer and clothesline available.

Snow trip
The kids and I again stayed at this cosy property, the massive couch and heated bathroom floors are the stand outs of this property. Talbingo is a small town with access to Selwyn ski fields 40min car trip, the property is conveniently located near the shops and country club, we recommend the Chinese takeaway! We had daily visits from the town kangaroos and peacocks, we look forward to next years visit

The house met all our needs
The house was adequate for all our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics you need,, they even had coffee machine including the coffee pods! The house was easy and quick to warm up with the gas heater. Easy communication with owners and checking in was easy with a contactless key code at the property. 45mins drive to Selwyn ski resort.

Thank you. Was handy to find this place at the last minute so that we could accompany other family members on a holiday. Place was clean and tidy. Appreciated the linen being there ready to go - good to have one less thing to worry about while going away. Pricey for Talbingo but that's the law of supply and demand I guess. Overall really appreciated the stay. Thankyou

We enjoyed our stay at Osterley Cottage with everything there we needed. However, if I was to make one criticism it would be to perhaps to provide somwhere, or even just to add a table, for outdoor dining.

Fantastic place
Thank you Michael and Dianne, Our stay at your house was very comfortable. The heated floors in the newly renovated bathroom was a luxury. Everything we needed for our holiday was available in the house. Will definitely be coming back.
