Welcome to Sylvia's our gorgeous 1950's beach house set between the ocean and national park. The main house contains 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, living, dining and kitchen areas with a secluded front patio a sunny back deck. There is also a seperate outhouse with a bathroom, lounge and bedroom and at the rear of the outhouse another outdoor area with daybeds and coffee table. The main house sleeps 6, while the outhouse sleeps 2. There are also 4 additional mattresses and a fold up bed suitable for children or teenagers and plenty of floor space to throw them down. Just off the back deck is an outdoor shower to wash of the sand after a day at the beach. There is a fully equipped laundry including a dryer and a third toilet. You will have access to the entire property.
The garage is known as the 'fam cave' and houses a ping pong table, stereo and plenty of other toys for the kids to play with including darts, totem tennis, croquet, badminton, tennis and golf. There are boogie boards, fishing rods, and of course a cricket bat and stumps. Sylvia's also has two kayaks and two bikes which you are welcome to use at your own risk. Sunset kayak paddles on the lake or Berrara Creek are a must. There are plenty of books, board games and DVD's.
This place is a step back in time and from the moment you enter you will be impressed by the combination of comfort and quirk with modern facilities including reverse cycle air conditioning and fabulous furnishings and decorations throughout.
The small town vibe is what makes the area so special but Sussex Inlet is only a 5 minute drive away with supermarket and bottle shop. The Dunes are 3KM away and does great burgers and chips if you don't feel like cooking. There is also a small general store/cafe next to Swan Lake which does good coffee and breakfast - great after cycling or walking around the edge of the lake. And if all this peace, tranquility, serenity beaches and birds is getting too much, you're just 30 minutes from beautiful Milton with wineries, restaurants and boutique shopping.
The area is bike riders heaven and just around the corner from Sylvia's is the Conjola National Park with shady mountain bike trails running off in all directions, don't forget your GPS, or just take a leisurely 3 minute ride to the beach.
This is a place where memories are made, sand between your toes, walks along a very quiet beach, kayaking on the lake, fishing, building sandcastles, beach cricket, long lazy barbecues and nights by the backyard fire. You'll love your stay at Sylvia's!
