Great location
Quite a small, snug little cabin but ok for short term stays. Only negative was lack of cooling and would only need a portable pedestal fan to provide some air flow on the warmer days/nights. However the positives were the location which was excellent and the cabin was set back from the main road so it was very private and quiet.

Small and cosy
The cabin is small but somehow it works. Despite being in the heart of the small village, it is set back a long way on the block so that it is private and quiet.

Pleasant, good access to services. Rather cramped inside around kitchen area. Double bed but comfortable, bathroom okay. Entry to property and cabin fiddly.

Cosy hideaway
The Cabin is definitely a cosy hideaway in the centre of town. If you don’t feel like sold catering then everything is in walking distance for a quick and simple getaway.

Quaint wee cottage
Reminded us a lot of holidays of yesteryear. Little bit eclectic with mixed furnishing. Clean and suitable for a couple - made a good base and place to sleep while spending the days exploring up and down the coast and nearby national park

Quaint and cosy
Our stay was tremendous, we loved the property, it was quaint and cosy, especially with the wood heater. It was everything the owner promised it would be and more. Was very clean, and had everything you would need. Location was great and everyone was very helpful, and the beach on your doorstep. Slight hiccup to begin with, had problems with the key lock box, but got it sorted eventually, so wasn't an issue in the end. Wish we could have stayed longer as it was just the type of place to snuggle up on the comfy lounges with a nice glass of wine. Bed was also very comfy. Kitchen was well equipped, and bathroom was so cute and water pressure amazing. You won't be disappointed if you get a chance to book into the Cabin . .

Great location, good amenities
Great little property walking distance to most things in town. The cabin has a lot of amenities and though there is no oven the electric griddle worked in a pinch.

Cosy cabin by the Sea
Loved this cute little cabin. Very cosy and homely with comfortable bed and lounge. Well located and close to dinner venues, supermarket and bakery for breakfast croissants. Only suggestion would be for a decent sized microwave safe container for cooking as there was no hotplate or oven.

Great Location, Great Property
This property is perfect for a couple or single person. The location is absolutely superb, in the middle of town, near the pub, shops, park, beach, etc. The property is clean and tidy and has everything you would need (no oven in the kitchen, but do you really need one?). The owner is very helpful and friendly as well. On Hopetoun itself, if you've never been you definitely should get down. There are some great hikes at the National Park, you can check out the nearby silo art on the way down (including the new overpass art near Ravensthorp), the farm art trail is fun too. A great place to visit.

No outdoor seating
Carole was helpful and prompt with communication. The little cabin was clean and the washing machine was super convenient. We loved the surrounding beaches and area but it was a shame that there was no outdoor area or seating.

Not value for money
We stayed for two nights in June. The amenities were as described but I suppose our expectations were high because of the amount charged. Now, after staying in Albany, Augusta and Busselton, we consider that the cabin was expensive for the time of year, location, facilities provided and certainly in comparison to the quality of the other Homeaway places. It was also the only place for which we were charged a bond which took a week after departure to be returned. The owner claimed she had to do a “thorough” inspection of the property which we felt implied we could not be trusted. (We have been Homelidays/Homeaway renters both in Australia and Europe since 2006.) Fortunately we were only staying two nights. For cooking there is (as stated) just a microwave and electric frypan which is quite limiting. In June, the overnight temperature was down to 6 degrees over night and despite the two small oil heaters, the cabin was cold. We did not use the wood heater because of the mess they create. Some heating in the bathroom would have been appreciated. Despite Hopetoun having good NBN, the owner did not provide Wi-Fi in the cabin. Be warned that Hopetoun is a mobile phone black spot apart from Telstra and so our Vodaphone mobiles did not work. As there is no local contact person for any issues with the cabin, we had to resort to emailing the owner in the public library. Unfortunately, she did not respond until the day on which we had departed for our next destination.
