WILD DOG RISE, comfortably sleeps up to 16 Guests, in a large modern country house of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Set on 25 acres of private land next door to Timbertop GGS , Mansfield State Forest and at the base of The Alpine national Park it is perfectly positioned to quickly access Victoria's snowfields on Mt Buller and Mount Stirling. Only 10 kms from the Mt Buller gates and the High Country, you have easy access to downhill and cross country skiing, biking, horse trails, fishing, hiking, restaurants, Ned Kelly country, a zoo, a country maze, breweries, wineries and more

The King bedrooms are furnished with hotel quality beds and quality bed linen. Each king bed sleeps 2 adults. The spacious Bunk Room, has 3 timber bunk beds all with quality innerspring mattresses and comfortably sleeps 6. The bunk room has a cosy teenagers retreat or kids play space.
To make sure you rest easy and sleep well, our Pillow Menu includes pillows for: back sleepers, side sleepers and tummy sleepers. There are high loft pillows to raise the heads of snorers, medium loft pillows, and low loft pillows for young children. We also have low allergy pillows, memory foam and memory core pillows. With all this choice there should be a perfect pillow for you.
Portacots are also available for hire so guests just need to bring their portacot linen. High chairs are also available for rent. A child's step, toilet seat, potty, kiddy table and kids chairs, as well as kids plastic bowls, plates,cups and cutlery are provided are available in the house.
To ensure your year round comfort, the home has a split system heating and cooling unit in the lounge, ceiling fans or evaporative coolers in each bedroom and wall mounted convection heating in the bedrooms. There is also a large indoor Coonara wood fireplace for cosy winter nights. Wood is supplied for the indoor fire.
Wild Dog Rise has an open plan living room with breakfast bar (seats 5), dining table (seats 10 - 12), and lounge room (seats 10 - 14). There are expansive views from large windows which take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, valley, National Park, farms and countryside.
Sliding doors lead onto the two large decks – a morning deck to catch the sunrise and an afternoon deck for spectacular sunsets. The morning deck has a table with seating for 7. The evening deck has lounges for 12, and the BBQ landing has 2 large outdoor tables to comfortably seat 12. The outdoor fire pit has log seating for 6+. There are plenty of spots around the property for sunset cocktails, a sunrise breakfast and enjoying drinks and a BBQ.
The large kitchen is well appointed with Bosch oven and Bosch dishwasher, slow-cooker, bread-maker, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, ice-cream maker, sandwich press, mixer, blender, sufficient glassware, crockery and cutlery for up to 16 people. There are also many cooking pots, pans and utensils so you can cook up a storm after a blissful day of exploring, skiing, riding, wine tasting, golf or relaxing. Or if you would rather go out there are 4 local eateries within ten minutes or have someone else cook for you. We can provide contacts for local caterers. Our Guests receive 'freebie or discount' vouchers for local restaurants.
You want to get away from it all but still need to stay connected? We have you covered! Wild Dog Rise is one of the few properties in the area with excellent Telstra and Vodophone coverage. You also get free FOXTEL, a large flat screen TV, and fast NBN internet and FREE WiFi so you can share your holiday snaps instantly.
There is a well equipped laundry with washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board and an indoor drying room for your ski boots and snow gear. There are 2 bathrooms, each with a shower bath and toilet.
