About this property

Birdsong - holiday home in Perth

Situated in 2.5 acres of grounds, 2-bedroom Birdsong is a perfect blend of tranquility & convenience, only 5 minutes from Wanneroo town and various other suburbs.
Owners, Jane and Stuart live on-site in the main house. Birdsong is an attached but separate and private dwelling with its own entrance, parking and outdoor alfresco. We are laid-back and easy going, and are happy to hang out or give you your space, as desired.


The space
You have total access to this evaporative air-conditioned two-bedroom, 1 bath home with kitchen, dining and lounge area. Each bedroom has a queen bed and a travel cot is available as well (please indicate on booking). Owners reside in the adjacent attached home and share access to the pool area along with guests in our other holiday home Sunrise Retreat.
There are two bedrooms with comfortable, quality queen beds, both with bedside drawers, lamps and spacious wardrobes. The living, dining and kitchen area is open plan, with a well equipped kitchen, washing machine, large fridge freezer, dining table and chairs, sofa, TV.
There is also a six seater table and a barbecue on the covered alfresco with outdoor blinds for when the evening sun is shining in. From the alfresco you will enjoy uninterrupted views down the hill of the fields.
The focus on furnishing the apartment has been your comfort, quality and style.
Guests have access to the shared pool area by walking around the front and side of the house.

Birdsong is situated in the rural suburb of East Wanneroo, with the unique convenience of being close enough to town but with the tranquility of living amongst large rural spaces.
Named Birdsong after the many parrots, galahs, wagtails and kookaburras who you often see and hear singing in the surrounding gardens.

We found this a lovely place to stay. It is in the countryside, and so quiet, but only a short drive to local amenities. Very relaxing in the garden and a nice swimming pool. Jane, our host was extremely attentive and all our needs were fulfilled. She was nice to chat with too. Would highly recommend.

Lovely property
Host was great :) Fantastic communication so everything was nice and easy. The property was lovely! Super clean, lovely amenities, mattress & pillows actually comfy in master bedroom for adults…which can be rare to find whilst travelling! Awesome shared pool between other units on site.

This property was everything described and more! Stunning location yet close to all the amenities
Would totally recommend this property, stunning location and with everything provided to enjoy a very comfortable stay. What a gorgeous spot
We absolutely loved our stay at Birdsong. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by our friendly hosts (and their gorgeous dog Chewy). The house was immaculately clean and generously equipped with more than the minimum of necessities. It's in a beautiful location where we enjoyed lazy dinners outside and of course, the pool. We would love to come back and whole-heartedly recommend this place to travellers. Jane is definitely the most super host!

Great unit in suburbs
The house was clean and had everything needed. The property manager was friendly and helpful. The site seemed to indicate that the accomodation was separate to the main house but upon check in realised it was attached and therefore quite close. there was no problem with this as it was adults staying there but may be hard with little ones.

We spent 10 wonderful weeks in the holiday home ‘Birdsong’ with Jane and her family. The name was true, every day different birds came to visit and sing. Beautiful and relaxing getaway
Renting this property was easy and Jane made check'-in process very somooth. She did communicate ahead of time with complete instructions, and she was also available at the time when we reached. She explained minor details about airconditioning and appliances. We enjoyed our stay because of beautiful property and surrounding area. It was a relaxing and calming experience. Fantastic Return
We had stayed at another property of Jane & Stuarts’ 5 years ago which was as lovely as this holiday. Purely by coincidence we booked with them again. This time an attached property to theirs called “Birdsong” Due to COVID situations the holiday had to be delayed and Jane couldn’t have been more helpful, however we finally arrived and it was like returning “home”. Jane was there to greet us. The area was so calming away from the bustle with access to the pool. Everything in the property was there and couldn’t ask for more. Essentials were supplied, Jane thoughtfully gave us directions for shopping and even gave suggestions as to where to eat. Would we return- in a heartbeat. Thank you Jane, Stuart, Mia and not forgetting “Chewy” the dog.

Property was very well provisioned and clean. Big bedrooms and covered patio for outdoor dining. Shopping centre just 5 minutes drive away, the use of the swimming pool was a real bonus. An excellent property to stay at and Jane, the host was very helpful and friendly but respected your privacy. I would highly recommend this property.

Easy booking and perfect communication...After a long haul flight having easy access to the property late at night made it much easier for us with a tired 6yr old. There was sufficient groceries to get us started from the start to make tea and coffee with much more...the property was like a mini home with everything we needed with bedding, towels, iron, hairdryer, freezer fridge,and washing machine which was easy to use and had a quick cycle. The property has a feeling of being secluded but having plenty of shops and parks nearby...we found more whilst Geocaching which kept us busy. We did attempt the pool for 10 mins with myself venturing to my waist and little one jumped in twice but was too cold for us but with the hotter weather the pool would be perfect.. There were plenty of places to visit in the area. We would recommend this as a perfect place to stay as a couple or as a family.

Absolutely Fabulous
Sunrise Retreat and Birdsong, away from it all and yet so close to amenities, was a beautiful place in a perfect position. The owners, Stuart and Jane, and their lovely daughter Mia, were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. The accommodation was well equipped, comfortable, clean, and attractive, and the beautiful swimming pool was the cherry on top. There is no place in Perth we would rather stay, and we will be back again. A real treasure of a find, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Phil & Judy, Surrey, UK.

Excellent Property
