Located just a stone's throw from the ocean, Redbeard's beach shack offers easy access to pristine shores and a variety of water sports. Whether it's surfing, kite surfing, fishing, paddle boarding or just beach combing, there's something for everyone.
The sound of waves crashing and the salty air create a perfect backdrop for relaxation and adventure.
Outside, a small deck to enjoy morning coffees, brunches, long lunches while soaking in the ocean views or take a scenic five minute stroll to the stylish Colourpatch cafe/bar with stunning river views.

A lovely relaxing break
We were not 100% sure about how our stay would be, as the photos were through mirrors etc , which although artistic , did not give a real impression of the rooms available. It also listed as having a pool and spa, which we were actually relieved to have the owner confirm that it did NOT have, as it was ringing alarms bells as too good to be true. In reality it is a lovely property with lots of books , games, nice extras , good warm shower , and an unpromoted upstairs room where you can view the ocean, relax and read books, and in our lucky case, view the Aurora Australis. !! We did go outside to view this beautiful phenomenon properly, but the upstairs room helped me see from the warmth of inside that it was worth getting up in the night 🙂 I would also like to say that our dachshund dogs loved the garden which was safe but had lots of places for them to explore. So we have found it a beautiful location and wonderfully peaceful with friendly locals.

Our family spent the Easter weekend at this property and had a wonderful time. It had everything needed for cooking and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable ( most important) A great vibe and nice and close to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Red Beards Hideaway
Fabulous quiet location in Augusta, walk across the road to the beach. The cottage is well equipped, clean and bed super comfortable. If you want a relaxed get away, Red Beards is a great place to stay. Communication excellent with check in and out really easy.

This lovely little cottage is in a quiet street away from town so close to the beach, walking distance to the river mouth and the Colour patch cafe/restaurant. Perfect for the fur child as the garden is fully enclosed and secure and the dog beach is across the road. The cottage is beautifully decorated in an eclectic way. It is very comfortable and has everything you need. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

Retro beach shack - great location!!
Everything you could possibly need is provided here. Our guest visiting from Europe absolutely loved it and really enjoyed the upstairs 'lookout' room.

Awesome property so close to the beach. We were lucky enough to see whales from the shore on our first day!! House is amazing with enough space for the whole family. Teenager really enjoyed the loft room. We will definitely be booking again.
