Oakridge Holiday House has a private, sheltered location at the village of Killiecrankie, northern Flinders Island. Only 7 minutes relaxing walk to be exploring one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island, if not the world! Enjoy the clean island air, the beautiful beaches & the spectacular scenery. Come for a week or more and enjoy a 10% discount.

Bedrooms x 3: 1 queen sized bed, 2 bedrooms with twin single beds.

Bathrooms x 2: indoor bathroom (shower, basin & toilet), outside bathroom /laundry (shower, toilet), extra outside shower (with hot water) for after beach activities.

Kitchen: full stove, fridge, microwave, fully equipped for self catering, dining area.

Lounge & dining: couches, extra dining area, smart TV , glass doors open on to a large deck

Deck: gas barbecue, table & chairs, view of distant hills & Mt Boyes, Wingaroo National Park & sunrise.

Grounds: spacious, easy parking.

A 20 minute drive south will bring you to the beaches of Emita, the well equipped museum, walks include the Castle Rock Walk.
A further 20 minutes drive to Whitemark airport, shops, bakery, petrol, cafes & golf course.

Charming touch of paradise

Charming, cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful part of the world. A bit further from the beach than we thought. Great base for exploring all the wonders of Flinders.

We loved our stay. Nivedita stocked the house we everything we need spices cleaning material fire wood and even welcome chocolate. Comfortable and clean, nice view, quiet and close to the beach. Wifi available.Highly recommended.

Perfect house in a perfect location

Nivedita was a wonderful host and her oakridge house provided a warm haven for my father and I while we spent two weeks visiting the island. Comfortable home with a warm fire for the cold nights.

Comfortable roomy sanctuary surrounded by stunning scenery

A roomy house with all the necessary conveniences including a satellite TV. We were happy to use the laundry as we stayed 4 days. The wood fire is cosy and easy to use and warms up the house quickly. Plenty of beds (4 singles, 1 double), good hot water and a very practical kitchen. Big deck to sit outside and soak up the serenity.

A place of peace

Thanks to a thoughtful host. The house is thoughtfully set-up and very comfortable. Such a peaceful spot, a short walk to Killiecrankie bay. I loved waking to birds and a particularly friendly wallaby.

Clean, comfortable, practical. Slightly more remote than expected but this proved advantageous once we realised to get adequate provisions from the (distant) shops. Beautiful beach only a short stroll away and great day trips to explore

Great family holiday

Oakridge is a great place for a family holiday. It has 2 bathrooms 3bedrooms and a big deck out the front My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay especially hearing the kookaburras in the morning

Just lovely

We greatly enjoyed our time at the house. We were central to everything and yet far enough away from people that we had total peace and quiet. The house was well set up and welcoming, we had everything we needed. If possible we’ll be back again some day and would recommend this house to anyone.

Wonderful beach house

We had a wonderful stay at Oakridge beach house. Nivedita was a very welcoming host and the house had everything we needed for a very comfortable week away. It is like a home away from home!

Two week stay at Oakridge

We had a great stay at Oakridge. The house worked well for our group of 6. Having the separate laundry and extra toilets and shower outside was great. The kitchen was a great layout and had all the basics. Lounge room was also a lovely space with comfortable couches and chair. However the winner was the great big deck! Just a fantastic space to enjoy watching the sunrise or watching the stars at night. It would have been good to have a few more items of kitchen equipment. Such as large salad bowls and Tupperware containers. The host was super easy to communicate with and was very happy to top us any of the house hold supplies we needed, such as toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. We would definitely stay here again. Being a bit of a walk away from the beach didn’t stop us from heading down there on foot when ever we felt like it.

Beautiful escape

This comfortable house is a short walk from a stunning beach and about a 35 min drive from the main town of Whitemark over sealed and dirt roads. The house has been recently renovated with quality kitchen appliances. We enjoyed the peace and quiet in this bush setting very much.

Birthday retreat

This property was comfy, warm and inviting. Small soaps and shampoos would have been nice. Rainy day with Netflix utube worked perfectly. Lots of space and recently renovated to modern amenities. Would stay here again.
