The home was absolutely beautiful. We loved the Verandah and was close to where we needed to be.
The home owner has family living on the property. The home is upstairs. The family lives downstairs
It's an older style house but it suited our needs. It was in a good location south of the city which was handy for all our day trips and there are lots of shops very close by.
Only suggestion would be to have some more blankets on hand. I know Darwin is usually very warm but it was quite cold overnight during our stay and while we used the throw blankets on the beds we could have used some extra blankets.
Also the large knife has a split handle so felt a bit unsafe to use.
Other than that it was a good stay.
Thank you

A really good place to stay.
We recently spent six days staying in this accommodation. It was a great location for us; close to a shopping centre, convenient for access to the city as well as to Fogg Dam, Litchfield etc. It was in a quiet location well away from the airport and is surrounded by tall palms and trees.
The house is an older style with some idiosyncrasies, but the rooms and the facilities were clean, tidy and well kept. The air conditioning worked OK, the kitchen was well equipped, and it and the living areas were spacious etc but the best part was the huge covered verandah. It had the dining table, overhead fans, the washing machine and clothes line, a barbecue and even a mounted TV. We spent most of the time out there surrounded by tall Palms and other trees watching the parade of birds flying past, or watching the sunset in the evening over a glass of wine. It was wonderful.
We hope to stay here again when we organize our next trip to Darwin.
The only down side was the stairs (the house was a typical tropical house up on stilts), since we had my wife's 96 year old father and he found them a little difficult.
