Allure Beach Retreat - Privacy, Nature, Direct Beach Access

Wake up to the sound of the waves in your own private eco retreat with direct access to Pennington Bay, one of the most spectacular beaches on Kangaroo Island. Whether you are a surfer, fisher, or just enjoy walking on pristine white sand, Pennington Bay is one of the hidden gems of Kangaroo Island.

Conveniently located a 20 minutes drive from both the ferry terminal and airport, the beach house is situated in over 50 acres of privately owned, pristine, heritage coastline land and provides you with absolute seclusion. You will think you are the only people on the island, yet a short walk through your own private sand dunes from the beach house and you arrive at the beach.

Accommodation comprises two spacious double bedrooms, one bathroom, well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Please note, the bathroom is accessed through bedroom 2.

Our configuration is such that we are most suited to couples, families and lone travellers. We can only accommodate a maximum of 4 adults.

The property is fully "off-grid" with a combination of solar with back up battery power.

Please note there is an outside BBQ, and inside cook top/hob although no oven.

Food platters can be arranged either for your arrival, or during your visit with two weeks' notice.

Gorgeous and homely retreat
We had such a lovely time at this property. Easy to find and yet felt remote and amongst the wilderness. Beautiful views. Stylishly and comfortably appointed. It is very well insulated so even though it was the middle of winter the house retained the heat from the evening fire overnight. We were very appreciative that the property manager had lit the fire before our arrival so the house was snuggly and warm. I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom given previous reviews. The shower over the bath tub worked well for us. Thanks so much!!

Our stay at Allure was incredibly special. We had natural beauty, peace and tranquillity all around us even though we were a short drive from American River. Allure beach retreat had everything we needed, was cosy, stylish and Deb was very happy to help if needed. So lovely for our kids to see so many kangaroos, even while in the bath! Thankyou.

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! Lovely views, plenty of wildlife and a clean and comfortable home away from home. Antonia supplies everything you need including chopped wood for the fireplace if you are there in the colder months. The only small downside was the bathroom/toilet area where there is no privacy from the outside world but maybe we just aren't used to be on show. A wonderful place to stay and unwind

Amazing location and sensational views
We spent a week in December at Allure and loved it. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures and very spacious and roomy which was good for our family of 5 including 3 teenagers. Sitting outside on the deck admiring the view was a highlight and we loved the remote, quiet location of the house. You feel totally immersed in nature. We would highly recommend this house, it's very special.

Relaxing stay
We loved our time here. Everything we needed for our family of four, with a fantastic view and peaceful setting. Very relaxing and away from it all. We caught fish from the beach and enjoyed day trips to the island’s highlights. Lovely at the end of the day to come back to this place and enjoy the view, the sunsets, the bath, the wallabies, roos and goannas and nights relaxing with the family.

High quality accommodation in secluded location
We spent three nights at this absolutely sensational property at Pennington Bay. Extremely well-appointed, very spacious and well hidden. Well located, being not too far from either Penneshaw or Kingscote. We would love to do a return visit at some stage.

Absolute Private and Stunning Serenity
Being newlyweds, we wanted to spend our honeymoon on our favourite island destination. We wanted to have some privacy to soak up the love high and Allure was the perfection location! This beautiful home was very homely and comfortable, and the view was simply breathtaking! We felt as though we were completely secluded, yet only a few minute walk to the stunning Pennington Bay beach. What made our stay even better was the fact that we could bring along our much loved pooch. This was our number one must for our honeymoon location! She loved the quietness and being surrounded by nothing but nature. Just a heads up there is very limited access to internet, but that’s was we loved about it! Being “off grid” and away from reality for while. Communication between the owners was super easy and they were very prompt with their responses. We were thrilled with the grazing board that was provided for us upon our arrival. Note: we paid extra for this and would certainly recommend organising one on your stay. We will 100% be staying again when we next organise a trip to this beautiful island.
