Some controversy in guidelines
Our stay was very restful. We looked for pet friendly places in the stayz app. which stated that ONLY pet friendly places will be shown. Now, I’m a clean person and would not allow the dog (even our chihuahua) on the furniture without sheets or a covering. But a pet friendly place would also have no carpet in the lounge, or restrictions to just “outside only” dogs. Dogs are a big part of many families and are usually very therapeutic for some family members, especially children as they are loved unconditionally by a dog. Please confirm on ad that the house is home to outside pets only, or change the conditions.

Nice, quiet place for the family
The property was surprisingly well-equipped with all we needed for the family. Easy walk to two beaches and shops, cafes. Nice cul-de-sac to play cricket in and a private backyard and eating area. Two TVs and plenty of DVDs. It was an easy place to stay and we'd certainly recommend it for a cost-effective holiday.

Worst experience ever
My husband two kids and 2 dogs drove 4hrs to holiday destination all excited ,arrived around 5pm with no way of getting into property host was uncontactable ,no info where to go to collect keys so we rang stays helpline that where most helpful they also couldn’t get in contact with host so they tried to fine us alternative accommodation and couldn’t so we had to find our own last minute accommodation which was now 6.30pm at night ,finally 8.30pm we found somewhere close by that were fantastic to put us up for the night , still no one has been in contact after multiple emails and calls to discuss our refund , Very unprofessional and discussed with stayz .. and LJ Hooker from Hawks nest who were managing the property on behalf of the host

Advertised Pets welcome!!! Pet friendly house!! Does not, anywhere on website say that they are only allowed outside not inside at all- only when you get to the house does this indicate, this needs to be clear when booking, had I’d known this would never would have booked as there is better accomodation for pets.

We enjoyed our stay, house was clean and tidy when we arrived. It’s in a good location, less than 10 mins walk to two beaches and the shopping strip.

Lovely clean house, has no aircon which made sleeping unpleasant! Also it is advertised as pet friendly but dogs must remain in the garden! But overall quiet neighbourhood close to beach and a clean house

Enjoyable stay in Hawks Nest
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property had everything we needed, we would return . Probably better suited to 6 rather than 8 people however as we were out all day it didn’t really matter

It is a good average property
It is a good property but not a great property. It is a decent size. The bedrooms are small but the living areas are big. The whole place is very dated and old fashioned but the price reflects that, so that is OK. The issue was that the duvets on the beds smelled like they are not washed. You have to bring your own sheets and pillow cases. Luckily we brought our duvet covers and own pillows because they were below par. It just has a bit of a stale smell. We were not unhappy but we were not happy. It was just fine. It is unlikely we will stay there again. But to be fair, it is a good average property with good spaces. It just needs a good clean and make sure it smells fresh. They probably need 2 sets of duvet covers so they can take the old ones off and replace with fresh clean ones rather than just reusing the same for everyone. That is not healthy and not right. If someone checked out in the morning and we checked in at 2pm then there is no time to wash the sheets and dry them for our booking so they cannot claim to have done that.
