This is such a wonderful property for a family get away. We came for family weekend at SFA and it was the perfect place to relax and spend time with our daughter. The host is amazing and made us feel very welcome. We will be back. Thank you so much. The Holman family.
There was plenty of room for the four of us at Whisper Oaks. The host was very helpful getting us to the property and the home is just lovely. And the trees, oh my goodness, are they huge. Highly recommend this place.
Plenty of room for our family! Fresh banana bread made by the owner! Easy Check-in process! Super quiet property! I’d suggest adding at least one trashcan near the bedrooms. Overall, a pleasant stay.
We moved from Arkansas to Texas. It was fast and furious and a lot of moving. We rented this place a little over a month for the in between of our house in Arkansas to our house in Texas. Latricia made us feel so welcome we enjoyed our stay at this amazing property. High recommend staying here. So peaceful and relaxing. welcome
The house was very clean. Having the two bathrooms was very helpful. There are very comfortable sitting and sleeping accommodations. We look forward to using this rental again when we return to visit our Daughter at SFA.
This short trip was so peaceful and relaxing. We ate the owners homemade bread, muffins and cookies and loved every bite. She had a spotless home that made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back when we visit nacogdoches again.
Property was very clean and nice. A great place to stay if you want to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The owner was very responsive and friendly. Latricia baked us chocolate chip cookies and blueberry muffins and they were incredibly tasty. Would highly recommend.
We had the best time of our life. Mrs. Jacobs was an excellent hoist. There is nothing like Texas hospitality. She is the greatest hoist I have been around. The house was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. I will definitely be back. We did not want to leave, thank you for the hospitality.
We just came home from a beautiful and relaxing month at this property! Latricia is the hostess-with-the-mostest, checking in regularly, providing delicious treats, and responding immediately to questions or concerns! I never knew how relaxing watching cows could be (and even the unexpected visit from a neighboring herd was fun to be a part of). We were immersed in a different locality and way of life, which is what I love about VRBO traveling. I highly recommend this property and these hosts!
We had a wonderful stay at the Jacobs' ranch. We're accustomed to country living, so we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet during the month we stayed at the house. We particularly loved the family room; it was comfortable for reading & watching TV plus large enough that I could set up my quilting table and sew to my heart's content. Our hosts were wonderful--very quick to respond to our questions, suggesting nearby attractions they thought we might enjoy and bestowing delicious homemade baked goods on us. We enjoyed the days when we could sit outside in the sun on the back patio and soak up the February rays.
Enjoyed our stay so much the first time that we returned. It is the most peaceful country atmosphere to relax and break away from the craziness of the city. Latrisha's freshly baked homemade goodies are worth the stay alone. The home is perfect. We will be back. Count on it.
We enjoyed our weekend stay. We were in town for our daughters wedding. Latricia and Larry jumped into action to help when we arrived early with a wedding cake that wouldn’t fit in the venue refrigerator. They helped arrange it so that it did fit in the refrigerator here. She had baked the best brownies and left them for us and even had fresh tomatoes on the table. I want to come back just to be able to relax next time.
Easy to find, my sister and I caught up on twelve years in this farm setting. We enjoyed beautiful mornings with coffee in hand around the generous dining table and afternoons on the outside patio. The sitting rooms were perfect. One for us and one for the husbands. The views were amazing. The Whispering Oaks made you aware of all the life that existed on the farm, past and present. Each night we came in from a fun day with friends and family escaping to this charming setting. Our pet dog also enjoyed room to run around and a haven for sleep. Our host had brownies for our coffee and made a pecan pie that was included in our Thanksgiving feast —not to mention a fridge full of soft drinks and water. Clean, comfortable, your home away from home, we will be back.
If you need a break from the rat race of a stressful job, day-to-day pressures and all that it entails...stay at Whisper Oaks. Not only did this charming, peaceful country home help us recharge our batteries, it allowed us to experience country living. The house is furnished with everything needed. The large windows allow you to enjoy the outside even when you are inside. The owner/host was as sweet and generous as fresh blueberry muffins. Photos of the home and property do not do the place justice. This place was so much more than we hoped it would be and plan to return. I love small towns and back country roads. Whisper Oaks calls to me in so many ways. Thank you to the Jacobs family for sharing your home w/strangers. -Susette, Pat, Blue & Poppy
