Just a 5 minute walk to the swimming beach (safe for all ages), a 5 minute drive to the local wineries and 10 minute walk into town, Salt Beach house Portarlington offers a lovely, relaxing and convenient place to spend on your next holiday or special weekend escape. Portarlington is a historic coastal township located on the Bellarine Peninsula, 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne CBD and 28km from the city of Geelong.

Portarlington has 5 very popular vineyards within 5 minutes drive - Laura Park Estate, Terindah Estate, Jack Rabbit Vineyard, Scotchmans Hill and the Bellarine Estate all offering wine tasting, restaurant meal or snack. Free Shuttle buses leave from the Portarlington Pier to the wineries daily using "hop on hop off" facility for those not wishing to drive. Uber is also available. Several other great wineries are within a short drive also.

With beautiful views across to the You Yangs and Melbourne city, Portarlington is a pretty bayside town most famous for the Australian Blue Mussel. There are also many local heritage attractions and a great selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars.
Port Phillip ferries cruise to and from Melbourne Docklands to Portarlington everyday. Bring your bikes to ride around the coastal safe riding tracks to Indented Heads and St Leonards, or stroll along the beautiful beaches. Shop at the local monthly markets. Fishing is very popular from the very long pier, or bring your boat and launch off at the local boat ramp. Water skiing and jetskis are also very popular sports in Portarlington. Local tennis courts and footy ovals within walking distance as well.

Salt Beach house is a beautifully freshly renovated house suitable for couples and families. This 3 bedroom home sleeps 8 people, 2 main bedrooms and 1 bunk room with 4 beds. The house has all amenities to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It has air conditioners in each room and a lovely Coonara fireplace for those colder days. It has plenty for the kids to do with the huge outdoors area, XBox 360 gaming console, games, toys and seperate TV. A Bluetooth stereo system in the lounge and a huge outdoor deck with dining table, BBQ and bar table will have everyone enjoying the outdoors all year round.
The huge backyard across 2 levels is a great place to kick a footy or have a cricket match. Perhaps put your skills to test on the putting green in the backyard for some fun.
A large driveway will fit 3 cars or if you bring a boat or JetSki it can be parked securely in behind the gates.

Great spot, very comfortable

We had a lovely stay at Salt. The accommodation was clean, tastefully furnished and had loads of space and things to do for everyone. We loved having a fire on our first night, which was a cold one and relaxing in the backyard when it was warm. Only thing that would have made it a tad better was a few little things like hand towels, more than one tea towel (we paid for linen) and some rubber gloves for washing up.

This property was in a great location, close to the beach, shops and wineries. The house was clean, neat & tidy and the children loved the games room. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with views across to the water. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect family friendly house

We had a great time. Although weather wasn’t fantastic all the time, the kids loved the table tennis and xbox, cupboard full of games, plenty to occupy themselves. Heating in every room. Great communication from Tim. We’ll be back for sure.

Great stay!

We had a lovely stay! 5 teenage and adult sons and we fit comfortably. The house was clean and plenty of heating fir our winter stay. Enough space and things to do for a couple of cold and wet weather days. The area was quiet during non school holidays. We would love to come back in spring/summer.

A Lovely Property

A lovely, tranquil home that meets requirements. (no wifi😉) Beautiful undercover dining area outside and breakfast or vino seated area to gaze at the sunset. The games room with pool table and table tennis table provided so much fun for adult and kids alike. Good shower and separate laundry facilities. Very relaxing home. The property is on a main road located close to town only 1km away. To close the heater it’s best to push it in and move the handle anti clockwise. I know you need to clean, tidy and put dishes away etc but downside is as per Stayz protocol you need to mop and strip beds of sheets which inches into your time. Tim is a fabulous communicator and will answer all questions. Will definitely stay again!

Great place to stay with children

Nice and comfortable with modern features and plenty of room for the kids to play out the back. Lovely little view of the bay too and an easy walk to the beach and shops. Only things that would make it better would be a front fence and front flatscreen door - I didn’t realise the house was right on the main road, which isn’t ideal.

Loved our stay!

What a great house for a stay in portarlington. So clean, beautiful modern decors, plenty of room for the whole family. Great for young kids with a big backyard and plenty of board games. Nice and close to the beach and Main Street with plenty of places to eat out and go for a good coffee and breaky. Highly recommend this beautiful little beach house

Pros: The house is nice, clean, everything is functioning well, space is good for two families or one big family. Communication is great, there was a timely response for all queries. Games room was a great fun for the kids Cons We had to bring our own pillows and for a big family this took much space from our car Wi-fi would be helpful; given that the house is ideal for families, kids don’t always have unlimited data. A few coffee pods for the coffee machine would be welcomed for the next morning or let the guests know the type of pods they can bring

This is a cute cottage in a great location. The games room in the garden is great for kids. Lovely fire in lounge room. To improve the stay WiFi and some coffee pods for the machine would be great. Easy to communicate with the managers and they were very helpful.

The back yard and games in the shed make this place a winner with kids. Plenty of space inside and out, nicely styled and super comfy. Only negative was no wifi, which we knew before we booked, but wireless data was very slow in peak holiday time.
