Quick family getaway
This was our second visit to Malua Bay - beautiful as before. Only downside was we were woken up on Saturday morning by builders who were building next door.

A gem! within a hidden gem!
Waking up to the glorious sunrise over the north east Pacific Ocean was the first great impression of this property from the main bedroom. Then a few minutes later making your morning coffee you can take in the view down the coast of numerous natural features such as beaches, bays, points, outcrops and islands. You are really in the thick of it when it comes to the visual senses. We had one day of fairly windy conditions so the sounds and sights of the crashing oceans was another experience to remember from this great accommodation. The home was well equipped and in great condition. Everything was provided for our holiday. The sleeping arrangements very satisfactory, the bathrooms are little on the old side, but perfectly functional and clean. The only point of improvement would be the need for better internet, a necessity for the modern age when traveling with teenagers and parents wanting some peace from long days traveling around the region. The Foxtel didn't work for me the time I was there, but was a small point. I could have reached out to Rob and Amy, as they were very helpful and communicative throughout the stay but didn't need to as there are heaps of other things to do. I had not been to Batemans Bay before. It's a real hidden gem, probably quieter due to the winter time, but we like it that way. The region has plenty of variety for a 3 - 4 day trip. In any case it was a holiday to remember for us! Thanks Rob and Amy

Summer Holidays
This house is amazing - lovely decor, very clean with ocean views. It's perfect for families and perfect for dogs. It's surrounded by beaches and a short walk from local shops. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare dinner for kids - we had Woolies deliver our groceries so we could be COVID safe. My son loved the pingpong table - on rainy days we watched movies and had table tennis competitions...as I said perfect! Thanks Amy!

Aussie Wonder
The home is truly tastefully furnished and the lay out of the rooms, kitchen and longe area is very thoughtfully laid out and equipped. Best of all it was spotlessly clean and dust free despite being next to the beach. We were amazed at the attention to cleanliness and thoughful attention to guests reequirements. The Kitchen and dining are is so wonderfull and the utensils and crockery give you a great home experience with a lot of class. The location is unbeatable with 180 degree views, the walk to the headland from the backyard is mesmerising with all the cobbles and the views across the sea. A perfect place to really relax, take in nature at its best, relax with friends and family and cook meals in such a lovely kitchen with killer views. The owners are really kind and thoughtful. We had booked this for January, but due to fires and then COVID hit so we finally made it and it was really worth it. Thank you Amy and Rob for being wonderful hosts. Arnab

Cliff top location with wonderful views.
This property was roomy and ideal for a family with teenagers or adults only. Extremely challenging for a one year old- internal stairs without a stair gate. Screen doors front and back that did not open and close / lock, easily and general drawer and cupboard issues. Some parts poorly maintained. Secure enclosed yard was good for dogs, however as the wire fence backed a public thoroughfare, barking at passers by was a concern at times. Dogs needed to be locked inside when we were not present or neighbours were playing cricket in their yard. Linen was not good quality , Especially in master bedroom. Personal items were left in bathroom drawers and the property was clean but not spotless as expected . It would have been helpful to have a booklet outlining local facilities. Attractions and services , including bin collection day. Property appeared to have been a home that someone packed up and let for a period, rather than the high quality beach rental we expected for the fee paid.,

Fabulous, First Class Beach House.
Let us start with AMAZING! This immaculate beach house has everything you need in order to truly enjoy a relaxing coastal getaway. Ample space - enough for two families, set over two levels, with an open plan style. Designer furniture and well appointed facilities. Fantastic location, amazing views both north and south. Perched on a cliff-top setting, with an easy 3-5 min stroll to gorgeous Mackenzie’s Beach. Our pup also loved the place - with a good size fenced backyard, perfect for any size animal. We can’t wait to come back to Sea La Vie in order to recharge again! Thanks to our lovely hosts Rob & Amy!

Great location, big enough for two families
We enjoyed our week at Sea la Vie, if not the lousy weather. There was enough separate living areas for 4 adults and 4 boys ranging in age from 11 to 16, plus one dog. The back garden was very secure for the dog. We really appreciated the short walk out the back gate down to the stunning Mackenzie's Beach, as well as the wonderful views. There is lots to explore within walking distance of the house. The stove isn't brilliant, but we managed to prepare most of our meals for the week, in the well equipped kitchen. Everything was well maintained and clean.

Fantastic family holiday rental in a beautiful location
We stayed at Sea la Vie for our extended family christmas holiday and was very pleased with the property. The property sits up on the cliffs and you can watch sunrise from the front deck and sunset from the back deck. There are ocean views all around. It was a heatwave when we were there but the property caught the most lovely seabreezes and McKenzies beach is just a quick trundle down a bush track and is a beautiful beach. The house had plenty of room for everyone including the kids and dogs. Kitchen was open and well equipped and plenty of seating. The living room was open and a great place to lounge about and this was where the airconditioning was placed if needed. Theres a ping pong table downstairs and 3 bathrooms all up which was great when everyone got back from the beach at once! Highly recommended!

Stay was cancelled due to bush fires
We didn't go. People now trapped on beach, supplies including petrol running out. Really hazardous getting in or out. But the owners, Rob and Amy, have been extremely helpful in their responses in such unprecedented circumstances. Please ignore my previous review. Linda.

Great house - in a superb location
I loved being able to walk from the house, down a wooded track to Mackenzie Beach, and, in the other direction to the end of the promontory. The house had plenty of living space for our party of 2 couples, a granny and 2 children. The children (7 and 10) loved the bunk beds and we all appreciated the 3 bathrooms. It was nice to have a table tennis table in the garage too. It was a great base for our escorted expeditions: sea kayaking and mountain biking (with a van and a trailer so that people could stop at any point). We also enjoyed Boogie boarding at Malua Bay. Good shops at Batemans Bay. We have suggested to the owner that it would be helpful to have better shade for the outdoor dining table. We were unlucky that the WiFi wasn’t working until our last morning, but our stay was over New Year, so getting technical support took a while. Overall I loved our stay and would like to return.
